First heard this group on XM. Can't get the CD, but you can buy the MP3 download. These gals are exceptional. I like all of the songs on this release. It is strange that such a good group doesn't appear on local radio. I hope to find where this group is playing and see them live some day. I would recommend this to anyone that likes country music.

Refreshing,

Saw them live and have been waiting on the release of the disc. If God would have given me that talent I would not be in sales today. Very Good and I am not even a country music fan. Not hard to look at either. Enjoy and see them if they come to a town near you.

Carters Chord is fresh new harmony in country music with great lyrics and a sassy sound. I hope this group really makes it because I have listened to this CD pretty much non-stop since the day I purchased it. I have a wide variety of music and enjoy talent of all kinds. This group really stands out to me with a lot of potential.
If you hear country music and think Shedaisy, think again. Shedaisy is fun music, but these girls put them to shame easy. I expect much more to come from this group.

Country girl harmony at its best,
By
This review is from: Carter's Chord (MP3 Download)
I got the album download based on a free song from iTunes (sorry, amazon.com). The harmonies are to die for, even on the kind of basic country-pop, Faith-Hill like songs (which I like.) I'm a country fan who doesn't listen to country radio when they do things like ban the Dixie Chicks. I don't mind "crossover country" as long as the voices are good. Most of my music these days is heard solely through my plugged in iPod.
So, the majority of the songs on the album are really good crossover style country with fantastic harmony. But the reason for the 5 stars are the three songs that are just rip your heart out bluesy country that I just cannot stop playing. "Different Breed", "Summer Early 60's", and most significantly "Song of Blue", which is also on the soundtrack for an upcoming movie "Beer for my Horses". Those songs have the southern rock/blues/lyrics/harmony that grab my heart and mind and will not let go. I have been singing them nonstop in my head as background for weeks. These are where the talent really, really stands out. I just can't say enough good things. I highly recommend them to a fan of the Chicks, Gretchen Wilson (whom I also like, but like this group better as far as song choices), Little Big Town and Sugarland (because I like those groups also for the harmonies, which we get in spades on this album.)

I bought this album when it first came out, after hearing 'Young Love' on the radio. It's for sure in my top 5 albums of all time!!! Buy this album, you won't regret it!
