This was 1 of 3 bouncers I received for my newborn. I kept them all. This one is especially good for newborns. It's so comfy and cozy for them and seems to make them feel like they're still in the womb. But, it's boring for any child over 3 months. It's too small at that point. Or it could just be my butterball who made his intro at 8lbs, 10oz. A keeper for newborns, if you can afford to have more than 1 bouncer...otherwise, pass on this and go for the Fisher Price Kick & Play or the Fisher Price Infant to Toddler Rocker

I liked the fact that this looked really cozy for my baby. Also, I figured that he would be safe in it becuase it cradles him so well. Other seats I have read about their babies falling over the sides, but with this one it would probably be next to impossible. The way that it rocks is very different from the other bouncers I have seen-- it bounces more from the bottom than the top. It has two positions: flat and and sitting up. At first I thought I would never use the flat position, but with my newborn it is the one I use almost exclusively. I really like the little pillow that comes with it. The swaddling blanket is cool, but kind of a pain because it is designed to have the belt going through it, so if your baby needs to be picked up, you have to take him out of the blanket, which sometimes seems to take forever if your baby is crying hard. Two things I don't like about this bouncer: the upright position isn't very upright. They should make it have a third position that sits more upright. Also, the buttons you push to change positions are sometimes hard to get to work.

All in all, I love this bouncer. It has been a really nice one to have. My baby always looks so comfortable in it.

we've had this bouncer for about 4 months now, and s ofar it has been everything it promised to be and more: it is very comfortable for the baby, has nice vibration, bounces smoothly, looks nice, easy to clean and the toys are not bad either. we like it much better than others (including the ocean one) because it really relaxes the baby and puts him to sleep, without overstimulation.

We received this bouncer and the Aquarium Bouncer as gifts and used the Aquarium Bouncer exclusively for a while. Once we broke this one out of the box, however, we were all converts. This seat is larger and much cozier than the other. Plus, it reclines to a horizontal position if baby falls asleep and wants to lay back. The vibration on the aquarium bouncer seems slightly better, but honestly we don't use all the bells and whistles on either often. Oh, and the toybar on this one allows us to change out the toys. The aquarium bouncer just allows our daughter to passively watch spinning fish. My husband and I agree that we, personally, would rather spend time in this seat!

This is a great bouncy seat! It does not bounce on its own, though.

It vibrates (which helps soothe a cranky baby) and it has music and it also has the sound of the womb.

The toybar often pops off and the toys are not that colorful but I just switch them with other toys.

I was going to get the Baby Papasan but after comparing the seat to this one I knew this was the one to get! The baby papasan's seat felt uncomfortable, as if there was a bar underneath it. This seat is so soft and snuggly.

My daughter was only 4.14 lbs. when she came home from the NICU, and this was the only seat that she was really secure in. I was given an FP (Kick and Play?) bouncer, which I do like, as a gift, and though she's 8 lbs. now I still can't foresee utilizing the FP model until she's able to hold up her head, maybe even sit upright alone. Without a headrest, there's no security for her neck or head, which I consider extremely dangerous for a smaller baby. The Carter's bouncer is also perfect for a baby who has a little reflux and needs to sleep in an upright position. I've tried sleeping her in her infant seat, but she always seems so scrunched, and her apnea monitor would always set off false alarms due to the way she was slouched.

The only downside, as has been noted, is that it's not always easy to change the positions of the seat...BUT there is a warning on the box and in the assembly pack that explicity says to TAKE THE BABY OUT OF THE SEAT before adjusting. If you follow this instruction, it's really no big deal. For my daughter's purposes, it really is a fabulous bouncer.

I love this seat. Unlike the baby papasan this seat actually bounces and reclines. Yet it cradels the baby from newborn on up, with no problem. Our baby is now 5 months and we also use this seat for mealtime and its great. Yes, the toybar is boaring but we just switched out the toys every so often. I also love the fact that we can move it from room to room without waking baby thanks to the solid frame and handles at head and foot. I would highly reccomed this seat!

I registered for this before I even saw it in person. The bouncer has out weighed my expectations three fold. My 5 month old still sleeps and plays in this bouncer during the day. He loves snugling down in it. It is soft offers so many options for sound and the vibration is very calming. As some other reviews stated I also had the vibration die on me. I called the company and they sent me a replacement in less than three days. I haven't had any problems since. Also when I replaced it I took out the dead base and flipped the vibration piece and it started working again. Now I have a back up if it happens again.

This is worth the money because it last much longer than similar bouncers. It is easy to take apart and put back together so we take ours when ever we travel!

We just got this bouncer and my son is 2 1/2 months old. He outgrew the first one already, but still has room to grow in this one.

I agree that the buttons to recline the seat are hard to push in, but you just have to make sure you have it in the fully-reclined or fully-upright position before you try to push them in. No big deal.

The battery case is impossible to unscrew! We had to literally chisel it open with a screwdriver and hammer. Some cardboard and tape are now holding it together. It is covered by the fabric though, so you can't see it.

My son loves the toys too, especially the rattle. It will keep him amused long enough for my husband and I to eat dinner!

My baby loves to sit in this seat but I'm not sure she wouldn't love to sit in any bouncy seat. The toy bar isn't that exciting and is in plain blue and green colors which isn't the contrasting color schemes recommended for babies. I do like that it reclines to a laying position and we used that in the first 2 months for naps (now she only sleeps in her crib).
