I've been searching for the right "baby" book for quite a while to give my son as a gift for his birthday. After reading the reviews I decided to purchase this one and was not disappointed. I like the design and its size, it has ample room for writing descriptive memories without going overboard. There's plenty of space for pictures, clippings and other memories. Most of the book covers baby's first year but there are pages at the back for birthday pictures up to year four.

This has been a pretty nice book and has done the job well, my husband broke the binding on our first baby book for our son so I have had to transfer everything over to this one. A couple things that I love about the book are the cute pages and how many of the mile-stones it covers (first trip, teeth, haircut, dentist, holiday, first couple birthdays, kindergarten, and so on. . . ). I found to cover to be just as advertised and it was very easy to switch the photo to one of our son. There are a couple things however that I would change about this book. First of all I would get rid of the hash mark outlines where you are supposed to paste the photos and mementos, some of them are way too big for the photos and things that I would choose to paste there and seeing the outlines does not look very cute. Also, I would have preferred to have more pages in the back of the book for miscellaneous things such as his first christmas cards from his grandparents, pictures with the easter bunny, and things like that, I think right now there are only two or three blank pages in the back for these things.

This baby book is absolutely beautiful. This purchase was for my third born child. He was born in November and was originally to be a twin, but was only born into the world as a singleton. This book is special because it's as beautiful as he is and it compliments their celestial theme of stars and moons. The book is gorgeous on the inside with cute accents to the pages with graphics that go with the theme of the cover. It's a worth while purchase and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

I bought this to replace an old baby book I had by Gibson. I found this book on Amazon, and I was amazed how much better it was! First off, the carters book was actually fun to put together. On ever page, you get plenty of prompts and fill-in-the-blank to help you write, so you aren't constantly struggling with a writers block. It is written in first person like a children's story book. For example, it starts off: "Once upon a time long long ago on the most splendid day of _____, ____ and ____ heard the news that a baby was on the way." It's colorful, fun and has places to glue in lots of pictures. I am sure it will be something my kids can enjoy looking through as much as I do.

Secondly, it's very comprehensive. Here's a rough list of what is included in the book, since it doesn't say on the product description:

I am done with all the pages I can fill out for now, after spending perhaps 4 evenings working on it off and on. It was a fun project.

Desite this, there are a few things I do not care for in this book:
There is no envelope to put the lock of hair. It doesn't seem right just gluing the hair to the page like the book tells you to. I salvaged the envelope from the old Gibson baby book.
It has a page where you are supposed to glue a news paper clipping from the day the baby was born. Who buys newspapers anymore? On the bottom of one page it mentions something about the names and ages of your other kids and pets when the baby was born. We had to leave all of that blank because this is our first baby and we don't have pets. I don't think it should have been worded like that. A simple chart where you could fill in names of siblings and/or pets as they come would have worked out much better.

Other than those minor problems, I am looking forward to buying a second copy of this book for our next child.

I wish my parents had one of these for me when I was a baby! It's fun to look back on events like when/how my husband and I met, when we found out I was pregnant, the first days of the baby's life, etc., and I think it will be a really special and interesting keepsake for my son down the road. I filled out everything I could before the baby was born (it took awhile), but most of the remaining information doesn't seem like it will be too hard to keep up with, even with twin toddlers and a newborn.

It's a nice book in terms of quality too. The cover has nice fabric, embroidery, a ribbon and a moon charm. Great baby book!

I ordered this book without being able to flip through it. While the book is nice and the pages are cute and thorough, I did not like the set up at all. Rather than just providing headings and simple prompts, the book reads like mad libs: "Mommy felt_____, Daddy said ________, and then we went____________." I don't know what I would have come up with to put on the lines. I sent it back, it was way too cheesy for me.

This book is perfect for new parents who want to record all the milestones of a baby's development. It goes up to age 5 and even includes pages for prenatal events such as parents' thoughts while waiting for the birth. The appearance is just wonderful.

I received this book as a gift for my soon-to-be 2 year old when I was expecting him. Now, we are expecting our second boy and I am thinking about getting the same book! I love the size and how detailed you can describe the memories and the places for photos. I also like the fact that it spans several years instead of just the first year. It is very high quality also which is important for holding up to all those years growing up and looking back when they are grown! I definitely recommend this book to anyone needing a baby book for either a boy or girl.

I needed a baby book for my sister i looked every where for a nice cute book that wouldnt cost me a an arm an a leg. It was my husbands idea for me to look on amazon after just a few mins i found the perfect book my sister was thrilled an i didnt have to spend that much.

This is the best baby book that I have come across. I originally purchased this book 3 years ago at Babies R Us when I was pregnant with my daughter, and I am so excited that I found it again on Amazon.com for my son who I am expecting in 7 weeks! The pages are cute, with lots of room for writing memories and thoughts from Mommy & Daddy. It has space for writing down all of baby's firsts, and lots of spaces for photos, etc. It's perfect for a boy or a girl, I'm so happy that my two children will have matching baby books! :) :) :)
