4.0 out of 5 stars A little expensive, but worth it!, July 19, 1999
By A Customer
I think that this book is a great resource for anyone who is a jewelry student or just in love with very fine jewelry. While the book does focus more on the lives of the three Cartier brothers, there are many great pictures of their jewelry as well. I think this book is well worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing book, September 2, 2009
By
This review is from: Cartier (Hardcover)
This absolutely fabulous book is a very complete history of the House of Cartier, with a special emphasis in the early 20th century designs. It features chapters dedicated to the 1925 exhibition, the Ballets Russes, the great transactions and the comissions for the maharajas; and it shows everything, from vanity cases and watches to tiaras, bandeaux and aigrettes. The photographs are vivid and detailed, on clean black or white backgrounds that allow the pieces to shine. It includes some interesting historic photos and illustrations, as well as an invaluable text, filled with details, anecdotes and a very complete study of the pieces and styles mastered by this great jewelry house.
