Originally a weekly featured for the Dallas Morning News between 1995 and 2000 called "Texas Lore", Patrick Reynolds' A Cartoon History Of Texas is a unique and superbly presented overview of Texas history ranging from its earliest years of Native Americans and the Spaniards down to modern times. 4.0 out of 5 stars Great Way to Teach TX History, January 6, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Cartoon History of Texas (Paperback)
This is a wonderful way to teach your children Texas History, the easy way. It is very readable, draws you into the action, captures even the least interested young mind and gives details that are easily remembered that your text book forgot. It also is good about showing connections between events and bringing in the personal side of the historical event. Good for ages 4-104. If they fight the lecture just put this little gem on the end table or coffee table and walk away.
