Although I have never personally watched an episode of "Adventure Time", there was always something weirdly fascinating about the art style. Perhaps it's the kid with that... thing... on his head. Every time I see it, I feel the classic Steve Martin and John Belushi SNL skit coming on: "What IS that?!"

INTERACT_ACROSS_USERS_FULL - It's listed under the product permissions, but not present in the permissions lisiting upon installation. *Although this permission shows up for jjceo, it simply doesn't for me. Nevertheless, it being a relatively newly developed multiple-user account access permission, and having done some research into it, nothing about it seems particularly alarming in this game's circumstances. As for advertising pushes, once again there is a possibility that it may be temporarily inactive code... I will have to play the game after today's showcase to know for sure.*

Network Access + Receive Information (e.g. Google Cloud Messaging): I can't see exactly how this was exactly implemented in the game (see above *note*). There is the typical More Games link, but beyond that there currently seems to be no futher disruptive pushes. It may be just standard coded permissions for ALL of Cartoon Network's games. There is a static "Watch C&N" ad that shows up at the bottom of the level selection screen, but it's non-clickable- nor would I call ita popup as it's not a separate window but a integrated part of the Level Selection screen. A Rate Us link is unobtrusively tucked away under the More (settings) button on the main menu.

**I waited a few days and played again, and no futher active advertising was present other the same static one at the bottom of the Level Selection screen.

4.0 out of 5 stars An OK game that is harder than it looks to play! June 2, 2014
Verified Purchase
The game starts with a cartoon story about what the storyline is based on. The cartoon graphics are cute and the music is fine but you probably will turn it down. The controls are simple to use and they are finger swipes used to jump, move forward, and bash an object, double jump, wall climb, sword fight, jump down or float. There is also a new circle control you can use but for me the finger swipe worked better. When I tried the circle controls I could not do the same things I was able to do with the finger swipes. The little tutorial was easy but the actual game is much harder and it is easy to die. You get three lives in the game and I didn't last long. You soon realize that the tutorial level was so easy as to make you believe the game was going to be easy and it is not.

This is a good beginner run to the left and fight jump and run game but the levels are tough to beat for me. It is OK to play but when I got into the real game I found the controls a little slow for the amount of action that came at me at times. I didn't notice it so much in the tutorial level as it was so easy. There are pop up ads to watch Adventure Time on the Cartoon Network.

If you leave a level without finishing then the progress in the level will be lost. I had to hit the return button to exit the game. Overall I rate the game 3.5 stars. I'll round it to 4 stars but it is much harder than it looks.

The Menu button leads to instructions, settings, more Cartoon Network and asks you to rate the game. The More button leads you to the Amazon App store to allow the purchase of free apps and apps that cost money.

It kept freezing up my Kindle so I had to remove. :( I had removed a bunch of other apps before deleting so I have no idea what was wrong.

It's pretty basic, but it looks cool and plays ok.
Gave it the three stars since it's not something out of the ordinary but it's entertaining.

1.0 out of 5 stars Slow June 5, 2014

It's like everything was in slow motion. I have the s5 so it wasn't a lack of processing power. Sad.

2.0 out of 5 stars Had High Expectations; Controls Need Work June 5, 2014
By Devlin

The game itself has high potential to be fairly enjoyable, but only if you have a bit of forgiveness in you. The swipe controls are decent, but it's very easy to have one control mistaken for another, making *fluid and enjoyable* gameplay pretty brutal. At one point, the in-game tutorial asks if you'd like to try the new circle pad controls, and after switching over, there's no obvious way to change back. Hitting the Android back button doesn't take you to any menu of any sort, so you're stuck trying to play with circle controls that were not explained to you. At this point I stopped playing. I had fairly high hopes for it, but just couldn't force myself to play past the subpar control schemes.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice Adventure Time game. June 5, 2014
Verified Purchase
I liked the first Adventure Time game I played and the graphics are on par in this game. Like other reviewers stated the controls are laggy (IMO having to touch Fin is counterproductive to game play since he's on the other side of the screen) and the circle pad is awkwardly placed (this should be adjustable).

The game is well designed and I will playboy not often until the controls are more fluid. But hey, it was a FAOTD. :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars It was free.
When I first saw this game. It was previously free. But in the outcome it has gained a price. I find this pretty ridiculous.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worth the download, fun for any age
Really fun game. It could be a little longer or have more stuff going on in it, other than that it's super fun and I really enjoyed it.

Enjoyed the game. Controls were difficult and at times unresponsive. Can craft multiple sword blades and hilts... however, this does nothing except cosmetics.
