Something I like about this calendar as compared other cartoon calendars is that the cartoons are written and drawn by a variety of artists. It remains interesting and refreshing throughout the year while calendars by a single artist can become tedious.

But I am sad about an "improvement" introduced in the 2010 edition that destroys some utility of the calendar. I once used the back side of the sheets as notepaper. Now the back side of each sheet is taken up by "The Daily Extra" which is a wide-ranging variety of useless items, such as a "Notes for the Babysitter" form, a household hint for cleaning kitchen sponges, the number of dimples on a regulation golf ball, a list of traditional anniversary gifts, a money-saving tip (make a shopping list and stick to it), and other similar items. My notepaper has been ruined by this inane feature. I'm now shopping for a different calendar.

The New Yorker Day-to-Day calendar was my best purchase of 2008. I had a daily chuckle, and often a full belly laugh from the daily wit and whimsy of these cartoons. And it provided plenty of good material to share with family and friends, and at meetings. Never a dull moment in the office last year and I can't wait to keep up the trend in 2009.

I bought this as a gift for my wife some years ago and she has wanted one every year since. She enjoys them and brings them home to share with me. Give it a try and you will be laughing too.

I buy a New Yorker calendar every year. Tearing a new page never fails to bring some amusement to a morning.

My husband and I have been enjoying these calendars for years. Now they have even added in an extra feature of a puzzle or information on the back of each day. Of course, the humor is great. We give these out to loads of friends and family at Christmas. Then we peel back the page each day to reveal today's little gem, knowing that so many of our friends are sharing the same laugh.

What a great gift. I should have given it to someone, but found it so funny, I kept it for myself. There is nothing like New Yorker cartoons.

Have been a repeat customer for years but do not like the cheap paper. The print on the back is a waste of ink and I can no longer use the tear-off for note paper. Bad idea. Who has time for games?

I've followed the New Yorker cartoons off and on for many years. I found some of them in this collection to be borderline; but my main objection was the paper and printing quality. Was it always this flimsy?

The best! You are guaranteed a laugh a day. Who else can make that promise??
