This aftermarket cartridge won't make the "change toner" message go away. I have the MFC-7360n. I managed to figure out that I can force the printer to continue with the original cartridge until it runs completely out of toner. This same process will make it accept an aftermarket cartridge. Push the menu button, select 1 (general maintenance)then 8 (replace toner) then change it from "stop" to "continue." You'll know when it runs completely out; it will say "toner ended." This info is available in the basic user guide, but I was too dumb to read it until I had gone through a lot of frustration. Don't be like me; RTFM!

I have a Brother MFC-7360N. I received the toner in a box that was properly packaged. It was my first time installing a cartridge. For newbies: the black plastic case is the "drum" and the gray plastic cartridge is the "toner". To replace the toner, you will remove the whole 2-piece assembly, including the drum. You will then remove the gray toner cartridge to replace it. And, then you will re-insert the whole 2-piece assembly back into the printer.

When I inserted the gray toner into the drum, I damaged the right guiding pin on the toner cartridge. It did not break off, but it was loose. I was still able to insert the toner into the drum and the prints work just fine.

I have printed about 500 pages with no problems.

I would normally buy Brother brand cartridges, but I am a poor guy right now. So, for the poor, this compatible cartridge works great!

On a side note, Best Buy listed the TN450 as incompatible with the Brother MFC-7360N. This is a mistake; Best Buy is wrong. It is compatible and my review is proof of it. Also, the official Brother website lists the TN450 as compatible.

I received the cartridges very fast for using in my new brother 7360n laser printer. I came to find out that the brother has placed restrictions on using any compatible toner cartridges, has to be brother brand. The instructions that came with it are not clear or written for this printer, and show signs they are written by someone in China. The steps provided did not work or apply to my printer, I just kept getting the replace toner error message. I was about to give up and go to Staples to get an OEM cartridge when I stumbled onto a helpful website and I thought I would share the steps for the 7360n toner reset: OPEN THE DOOR WHERE THE TONER GOES. PRESS THE OPTIONS BUTTON(NEAR 'Copy'). PRESS *00. DO NOT RESPOND TO QUERY ABOUT DRUM. Select OK

The order arrived in just a few days. I had already been prepared for the blinking toner light after replacing with this compatible. I put it in and got just that. Tried some of the magic pushing go tricks, with no change. Then I found a site on the web showing how to rebuild the toner cart. and noticed that they mentioned lining up the arrows on the reset gear. I looked at mine and it was a smidgen off. Thinking I had little to lose, I move it back with a clicking sound, and I wondering if it would work after that, but back in, no toner light, my "push go 3 times for settings" and now the toner reads 100%, and the replace count (1) for toner. If you get toner light check to see if arrows line up.

I bought both the Brother replacement toner cartridge and this replacement toner cartridge to determine which was a better value. I placed the value toner in first and the printer "toner" light remained on. Nothing I did got it to turn off (Brother printer HL-2240). I gave up, cursed at the cheapo toner, and then installed the Brother toner. It immediately reset the machine to the the "ready" state. After reading a few reviews on Amazon and then on the web, I realized that the printer just needed to have the toner indicator reset. By installing the Brother branded cartridge into the printer, it did just that. I then removed the Brother cartridge, inserted the value cartridge (the one that I am writing the review about) and this time the printer recognized it and immediately began printing perfectly. No issues whatsoever. So, I am keeping the Brother toner to reset my printer next time and am going to by more of the value toners. Well worth the small hassle.

This cartridge didn't reset the toner low notice, no biggie...

To reset the toner low on a Brother HL-2280DW

Open the front cover of the printer
Press and release the "clear" key
Press "start", then press the up arrow until you see the number 12 on the display
Press "ok", you will see "accepted" on the display
Close the front cover, your toner cartridge should now work.

Used as a replacement for my original toner and withed without resetting and has continued to work since it was installed. Great purchase!

Ordered this toner cartridge last time in September 2013. It lasted 10 months with fair amount of printing. A week ago the printing looked faint. Reordered same product. It came from a different vendor. Installed it and it works fine. What else to be asked from a very low cost product that does the job as the original OEM one.
