5.0 out of 5 stars By and Large -- Terrific, April 26, 2005
By Strat Man (Shelton CT) - See all my reviews
There is a touch of World War I boosterism and commercialism evident during this period. But the negative effect is minimal.

This finale of the four volume Pearl set is every bit as thorough as the prior three. Again, the remastering shows thoughtful trade-off between reducing noise from the 78 rpm masters, and preserving the man's amazing voice.

A must for opera lovers.
