5.0 out of 5 stars All Board Members must read this series!!, January 1, 2005
This review is from: CarverGuide, 1 - 12 Set (Paperback)
Even if you don't agree with everything Carver says, this is without a question the best series on organizational governance ever written. His focus on the four essential functions of a board (Ends, Executive limitation, Board-staff linkage, and governance process)is thought provoking and very well presented. There are many, many publications on organizational governance but none are, in my opinion, as helpful as these. These are quite expensive - I guess that is my only criticism. But, in the end, I think this series is well worth its expense. Every nonprofit should own this series.
