Carver Guide Not worth the price
This tiny booklet is not worth the $14 price. There isn't sufficient help within to really make a difference although it has a very catchy title.

After using Carver's Boards That Make a Difference," for years, I have not found many volunteer board members who want to read his 240 page text. However, "Chairpersons Role As Servant Leader to the Board" is short enough (at 20+ pages) and simple enough for most board chairs to read on the way to meeting. If you use the Policy Governance based on Carver's model, I would highly recommend this (and the other 11 booklets in the series).
