Excellent Step-by-step instructions.
The reason I really liked "Carving Bears and Bunnies" by Tom Wolfe, was the step-by-step instructions and color photographs.As a beginner they really helped me to get the proportions right on the carvings. I really enjoyed this book of Tom Wolfe's and I am hoping to get some other ones of his.

I would have liked to see a better pattern to start with. I also would have liked to see more details walking through the process of the rabit.

The cutting pattern for any project in this book is very poor. I ended up hand drawing my own pattern(s) to accomplish what I needed.

Overall a good pictorial of Mr. Wolfe carving a bear and bunny. Limited written instructions or tips. Single side view line "patern" drawing for each of the six animals is included. You only see the steps for one bear and one bunny. You must apply what you have seen to the other four animals. There is a nice section on painting the animals. I have found it helpfull as a new carver.
