This review is from: Carving Clowns & Circus Wagons (Paperback)
the last thing i want is for anyone who is curious about this book to waste the money for shipping (the book is currently priced fairly at one cent) as i have done this book harkens back to the worst of the 40s and 50s craft garbage, using pre-fab wooden acorns, wooden eggs, wood scrolls, doll heads, Sculpey and the like to fashion the ''creatures'' within - hardly the carving book i had hoped for ! the results the author gets are ghastly, and the back cover is LOL funny, stating ''don't be surprised if everyone who sees it wants one like it'' ... for what, exactly ? burning or blowing up ? no one would want one of these terrible things after seeing it in person but don't take my word for it - carefully examine the cover photo (golly, why is it so blurry ?) and spend your money if you like. just remember that someone publicly humbled himself in an effort to spare you the shame of also owning a copy of this book if you had the opportunity to flip through this book you would not need this review to stop you |
