5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible start to learning Power carving
I did not buy the book to look at his Face carvings, although I do not think they are bad like the previous reviewer has stated. Here is the reason you want this book: The information on exactly what you need to buy to do power carving, details about what burs work the best and how they carve when you use them, the importance of a mask because of the dust, advantages...

Carving REALISTIC Faces.... is anything but. I find all of the carvings to be more alien than realistic. Does offer little help in the layout of a head and facial features.If...

This is the perfect starter book for anyone who is seriously looking at power carving. I am a starter, and I cannot give this book any higher of a rating. It was WELL WORTH the money. I have learned SOOOO MUCH by reading it. I would highly recommend it...
