Great value & help, but no seagulls,

All Hillman books are big carving aids. Patterns are b & w, & there are color photos in front & back. Get yourself a 2nd, color book of bird photos to help if painting realistically is your goal. No seagulls here - a surprise to me.

This is an excellent reference book for idenfitying and carving shorebird decoys. Very well detailed with excellent scale drawings to us as templates.
