The lip on the dustpan isn't flush with the floor, so when you sweep into it you miss about half of what you intended.

Most of what you sweep ends up UNDERNEATH the dustpan rather than in it. Doesn't do what it's ONLY FUNCTION is supposed to be! I mean what kind of company would actually put out a sweep set that is literally unable to sweep up dirt? That takes more than negligence it takes quite a bit of nerve. Also the handle has a hinge on it that bends whether you want it to or nut during use. Will never trust any products made by them again. I paid for it and dragged it all the way home and now I still need a new broom set!

Purchased this sweep set thinking that given the price, it would be of better quality then you could buy in the discount stores. Boy was i wrong!!!!! The sweepings go under the pan not in it. How frustration is that? Do not buy you will be sorry!!!. We even tried to correct the problem by weighing it down,,yea sure, did not work!!!

DO NOT BOTHER BUYING THIS!

Have to agree with all the other reviewers. The dust pan is completely useless and all the dirt is sweep under the dust pan.

I thought I just got a bad one, but from the reviews, it appears that they're all made that way. Very frustrating to try and use this when all the dirt goes under the dustpan!

The Quickie broom dustpan set is far better. I brought it over to use at my in-laws & they wanted to keep it. So I bought this Casabella one b/c it looked like a stylish version...too bad it doesn't work! The broom doesn't have enought surface area. The dustpan edge is too skimpy, doesn't lie flush with the floor even if you tilt the pan. All the dirt stays on the floor. I am buying the OXO broom dustpan set right now, only b/c of the color b/c it stays out in the open in the kitchen. Otherwise I'd go back to the Quickie.

I had the same problem as the other reviewer in that the dustpan isn't flush with the floor so half (or more) of what you sweep goes under it. I give it two stars for style and the broom works very well. I would not recommend this product until they fix that issue.

Dust pan sucks, the edge of it was wrap up so you can sweep up small stuff. the broom is really small, but still sweeps up good for ten bucks can't complain. only thing I would suggest get another dust pan!
