5.0 out of 5 stars THE BEST!
I LOVE these potholders with the grid texture because they are so much easier to manipulate, and they insulate very well. I have been using this style potholder for at least 3 years and still love it. I love that these things can be tossed into the dishwasher (or hand-washed with other dishes), and they don't stain like cloth potholders do. They also have a better...

2.0 out of 5 stars dangerous in the kitchen
I have wanted silicone potholders for awhile to replace some old cotton ones, but have been very disappointed with these. They are awkward to use, springing back at inappropriate times, they don't get a good grip on cast iron, nearly leading to dropping heavy, hot pans, and they have a tendency to slip off pot lids and right into the flame on my gas stove. While perhaps...

While perhaps you shouldn't leave a pot holder on the lid of simmering pasta, it was something I had done for years with others with no ill effects. I don't leave the kitchen while things are cooking. However, these tend to slip off after only a minute or two and burn rather quickly. Wish I had just sewn some old terry cloth pieces together and saved my money.

When I'm not about to drop a glass bread pan or the like, they do manage to keep me from burning my hands, which means they essentially serve their intended purpose.
