Casablanca Companion Review--Great History,
This review is from: The Casablanca Companion: The Movie Classic and Its Place in History (Paperback)
For those who are interested in how closely the film Casablanca actually follows historical events, Osborne's book is a must. Tremendous research was involved in finding out just how Casablanca fit into the reality of WWII. Surprisingly, it is quite historically accurate as Osborne is able to show. When the film is in error he does point it out and his explanation of the signature on the Letters of Transit finally clears up that issue.
Well written with helpful maps, photos, and illustrations, Osborne's book has been an invaluable resource for me in writing by own book Casablanca Film Trivia: Here's Looking at You, Kid which will be published in the fall of 2008

This review is from: The Casablanca Companion: The Movie Classic and Its Place in History (Paperback)
Great item for Casablanca fans. Has the entire script, pictures from key scenes and some back ground material. It isn't very large and that makes it easy to take with me on trips or commutes.
