Casca's Mercenary story a winner,
By Tony Roberts (Bristol, United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Casca #8: Soldier of Fortune (Paperback)
This story is set in Cambodia shortly after Pol Pot and his Khmer Rouge comes to power and has Casca leading a band of mercenaries on a rescue misison into the jungle to get a Chinese family out before the communists capture them. I like the story mainly for its fast pace, frequent action and easy dialogue between the characters (there is a love interest with Casca falling for a rather sexy Chinese girl), plus the won't-they-will-they-get-away suspense as the commies get closer and closer. I won't give it away except to say that there is an explosive finale.
