Product Features

The staff is designed to reduce the impact of each step. The weight which is normally carried by the lower body is transferred to the arms and torso, lessening the stress on the legs by five to 10 pounds. This allows you to experience more power and traction going uphill and to reduce strain on the knees and ankles when coming down. These travel staffs are available as single walking staffs and paired as trekking poles.

Reliable, comfortable and great to travel with,
This review is from: Tracks Sherlock Travel Staff (Sports)
I bought mine two years ago when visiting Acadia National Park in Maine. It has held up well and collapses down small enough to fit in my duffel sized luggage.

Walking Stick / Monopod,
This review is from: Tracks Sherlock Travel Staff (Sports)
I've been wanting a monopod for my camera for a while now. I actually saw this walking stick at Bass Pro Shop, and loved it, because it's a walking stick/monopod. Plus, the best thing about it, it folds up easy enough to stick in a backpack. The actual length for me is a little tall when put together,(I'm 5'4")but it's okay.
I haven't actually used it hiking yet, but from the looks of it, I believe it'll do just fine.

Short Walk,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Tracks Sherlock Travel Staff (Sports)
The picture of "Tracks Sherlock Travel Staff" informs me that is
something like a ski pole but it really is not. The instructions for operation or use of the features of the "Staff" are not to be found. A tag attached tells me it can be used in many ways but not how to do them: Like shorting, lengthing or dismantling etc. I don't think the rubber tip is going to last very far on rocky trails. It's as good as many I have checked out and better than some. To compare an orchestra conductor's baton to a baseball bat is to cmpare Sherlock's Staff to my image of a genuine Trekking Pole.
