This appears to be my parrot's favorite nature cd as she immediately starts to sing and begins to preen herself when I put it on. It's nice background noise for humans too, as it alternates from a brook sound to a (rather white-noise) waterfall sound.

The sound of the falling water in Refreshing Cascades is a delight, the tempo changes from fast to slow, where you can hear individual water droplets hit the water, then back to fast. A great CD to relax to after work. At night the sound of the rushing water seems to cool the air around you and soon you are sound asleep, without the fear of musical enhancement or a bird waking you.
I have really enjoyed this CD and have brought another one in case something happens to this one.

'Relaxing' sums it up. No distracting music... just water sounds. Great price.

As in all the CD's in this series this is well priced and does exactly what it says on the label. But this is undoubtedly my least favourite of those I bought. The cascades sound more like a running bath to me. Rather than making me feel relaxed and lulling me into meditation they make me aware of my bladder and long for a trip to the bathroom.
My advice if you want water is go for the ocean surf track, which is the best of the bunch.

This was the single album that launched me into the world of techno/ambient music. My friend was playing the CD in his car and I told him to stop as soon as possible at the nearest place where I could get my own copy. The album is never tiresome and will always have immense reply value. Truly transcending hymn.

This album is awsome. No matter what mood I'm in it will take me somewhere I want to be. It's got some of the best mixes of feelings in it ever. It makes me want to just be. And when something does that for me, I'm grateful beyond words.

I heard this song at a houseparty in Holland and I thought it was great the 1st time I hearded it, I was wrong...it get's better and better all the time. I've searched a very long time to find this one but I didn't know the name of the artist and the songname. Finally I found the vinyl version and I bought it for a measly $10 dollars, it's worth $500 dollars now :)

this ep collection of various versions of The Future Sound of London's amazing soundscape known as Cascade is, simply put: unbelievable. ambient backdrops...driving beats...swimming, pulsating synth...eerie trance-like soundscapes...there is literally sound all around...enveloping you. the music will, without a doubt, take you somewhere very far away. i can't put it into words too well...it's not easy...one has to listen to this 6 song ep to really understand and appreciate what's going on here.
Cascade is wonderful...it is an amazing feast for your auditory senses...it will carry you somewhere every time. what a treat. thank you Future Sound of London!!!
peace,
cic
