Worth it,

For regular usage they work great and are comforting to the hands.
Probably not designed to be used during kayak racing conditions, as they slide up the paddle a bit over time, but with a little duct tape they do stay in place.

I like these paddle grips but they would be better if you could wrap them on instead of having to slide them on. Takes a lot of pushing & pulling to get them in position, but once they're on, they're nice to have.

I put these pads on a paddle I used for five days straight. The pads prevented blisters. They did move a little but not enough to affect my paddling. I'll probably buy another set when we receive our new paddles.

More cumfy,

I like these grips. They have made paddling more cumfy on my hands.
I do have a couple of complaints. After only using them about 4 times the fabric on one of them has started to run. The second complaint is the grips slip up and down the paddle shaft making maintaining a proper paddling postition, while using the grips, hard witout constant readjustment. I purchased a pair of these for my husband's paddle as well and his grips slip freely up and down his paddle even if you aren't using them and the fabric has begun to fray on his grips. I've solved some of the slipage problem by placing rubber bands around the paddle shaft tword the inside of the grips. I place the rubber bands snuggly (meaning I wrap the bands aroung the paddle shaft a few times until they do not move until moved) up against the place where they grips should stay (since my grips seem to slip to the middle of the paddle). The grips still slip, but seem to get hung up on the rubber bands and it really slows down their movment. The bands are small enough that even when the grips have slid over them they don't bother my hands. For having so many issues with such a simple product, I would think they would be a bit cheaper since they are basicly an elaborate beer coozy. But I will probably buy another pair after the pair I have are worn out.

These grips do slide a little, not a big deal for me but might be if you are racing kayaks. They are comfortable and most importantly they solved my blister problem.

Kept sliding down the handle and fell apart. Only used them 2 times going down the river. Great idea thought just wish they worked better.

These make handling a wet paddle much more comfortable. There are several other choices I examined before choosing the Yakgrips and am very happy with these.

We purchased two sets...no more blisters. They make it easy to grip and they aid you in grasping to correct part of the paddle for the most comfortable position for rowing.

These get the job done so my hands don't get irritated while I paddle. The downside is that they get wet and pretty much stay wet. If you're paddling on a particularly cool day prepare for frozen fingers.
