A great solid listen,

This band just showed up one day (the day that I am writing this review) playing at the college I go to which is very rare and extroardinary as it is not really a college, not in the live-in place with dormatories sense. Anyway their music pulled me in like a magnet because it was not amateurish and they were just a solid rock-n-roll outfit. No factor about them was annoying. Sadly, I was one of only three or four interested parties in the crowd consisting mainly of Bible-belt folkies and listeners of rap and other imitation music. Anyway I bought the CD from them and popped it in, and it's great. The best production I've heard in a long time and just all-around great, listenable songs. I love it and if you are a person who likes rock, real rock and not "emo" or "screamo" or some such nonsense, then you will love it too.

If you have taste, you'll get this,
By M C Monroe (The ATL) - See all my reviews

If we named years by the new music they brought, 2003 would have been the Year of the Floating Poo. Jet By Day, however, was a shining light. They're ambient, yet rocking with straightforward good vocals. This Atlanta-based band is twice as original as the wannabe White Stripes and The Strokes clones who have dominated the airwaves this year. If there is any justice in the Universe, this is the new direction of music.
