A MUST for the school library,
By "kurtkirk" (spring, tx United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Case Against Darwin: Why the Evidence Should Be Examined (Paperback)
This book capsulizes the most impacting evidence against Darwin's theory of evolution. As a holder of an advanced degree in Genetics I found it suitable for the beginning student in the Sciences when confronted with a project discussing the evidence for and against the evolutionary theory. There are other sources of recent study available on Design Theory, but I believe these might be too advanced for those in elementary through middle school (grades 1-8). High school students could use this book as an introduction to the argument against evolutionary theory, especially speciation.

A QUICK AND INFORMATIVE READ,

This review is from: The Case Against Darwin: Why the Evidence Should Be Examined (Paperback)
Call it what you will: summary, capsulation, primer, etc.,this book provides more than ample evidence unmistakably and unambiguously invalidating Darwin's theories. Perloff clearly demonstrates that belief in evolution requires not only rejecting all the evidence to the contrary, but everlastingly accepting unproven hypothesis after unproven hypothesis in perpetuity. The auther points out how Stalin, Hitler and Marx were influenced by Darwin's writings. Some fan club!

Short and to the point,

This review is from: The Case Against Darwin: Why the Evidence Should Be Examined (Paperback)
This book is a very fast read, heavy on facts, with very little filler. The book is a shortened version of "Tornado in a Junkyard," and is a good starting point for studying the difference between the creationist and evolutionary opinions. "Tornado" is much more detailed, and includes chapters on the authors transformation from an evolution supporter to a Christian Creationist. Both books were fast reads, packed full of info. They are also heavily footnoted and referenced.

Thought provoking and Insightful,
This review is from: The Case Against Darwin: Why the Evidence Should Be Examined (Paperback)
This book is fascinating, opening minds into a world where evolution isn't fact, but in fact is questioned. Perloff masterfully composes an essay highlighting the major points that disprove the theory of evolution, from fossilization to amino acids and DNA chains. I was taught evolution as if it were fact, but am fortunate to have read this book to open my eyes into other possibilities. It also focuses on the social ramifications of Darwin's writings, which is quite interesting. This is a great read and is understandable by scientific minds and laymen alike. High recommended!

From Creationist to Evolutionist this is a must read.,
By Dave "hansenconnection" (Woodridge, IL USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Case Against Darwin: Why the Evidence Should Be Examined (Paperback)
Evolution is a proven science. So says the Evolutionist, but is there any hard "observed proof" of the theory. In just 76 pages of reading, this book covers some of the main arguments used to support the "Theory." I did say theory, examine the arguments presented in this book. This reading past all expectations I had. It is time to change the presentation of Evolution as fact to theory. Thank you James Perloff for an outstanding presentation of the Case Against Darwin.

disappointing,
This review is from: The Case Against Darwin: Why the Evidence Should Be Examined (Paperback)
I've read all the reviews here and I must say they all baffle me a little. There's simply not enough here to either hate or proclaim as the greatest thing since sliced bread. There's very little current religious thinking and I couldn't find any real science despite going back through it quite carefully. There are numerous valuable books on both sides of this debate, but unfortunately this isn't one of them.

Great Introduction into Creationism,
By "mattreilly71" (Stratford, CT United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Case Against Darwin: Why the Evidence Should Be Examined (Paperback)
This book is a great introduction into the theory of creation. It is a simple read and can easily be completed within a couple of hours but don't let the shortness of it fool you. There is enough information in this book to raise the eyebrows of the most sceptical people. It explains the importance of seperating the proven fact of microevolution from the unproven theory of macroevolution.

Crucial Information Everyone Should Read,

Perloff adds yet another fine book into the origins debate. The author does not attack evolution, he demolishes it by telling the reader more things about evolution than evolutionists want readers to know. Perloff makes the right case and he puts it in the right words to make it accessible for readers young and old. This is an essential read for those wishing to hold their own in casual discussions of the issues surrounding the cultural debate on origins as well as a good self defense primer for those wishing to prevail against the condescending sagecraft and intellectual bully tactics commonly employed by run of the mill neo-Darwinian apologists.

Same old weak arguments,
By Jack Michaelson "cactusjake" (Middle East) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Case Against Darwin: Why the Evidence Should Be Examined (Paperback)
You have to wonder at the fact that most "books" that argue againest evolution are usually under 100 pages in length. You would think if evolution was completely bunk that creationist or intelligent design believers would have more to say.
Anyways this book is more of the same literary slight of hand that is in the authors other book "Tornado in s Junkyard" in which he uses dishonest manipulation of facts and a gross misunderstanding of statistics and evolutionary theory to disillusion the simple minded reader. Whether he does this intentionally or if he to is delusional we dont know but either way this book and the authors other works can not be taken seriously.

This review is from: The Case Against Darwin: Why the Evidence Should Be Examined (Paperback)
This is a short book which is very easy to read. The author is very precise with his arguments and he explains many facts which are unanswered by evolution theory. If you are new to the arguments against evolution, this book will surely raise your eyebrows (even if you don't believe in creation). Perloff also explains the importance of separating microevolution theory from macroevolution theory.
