I really enjoyed this series when it ran on cable. The video was reasonably priced and arrived in great condition. Not for the really young. I really enjoy the type of anime.

The "Case Closed" ( one truth prevails) TV series is better than some of the American TV series in terms of the plots.
The mysteries are well figured out. The older detective constantly hitting the kid is just not what Americans think is very good? This punishment theme shows a Japanese kind of outlook on children.

When Shinichi Kudo, high school super-sleuth, is given a potion that changes him into a six-year-old, he takes the name Conan Edogawa and goes to live with his former girlfriend and her detective father, who are both unaware of his true identity. With Conan at his side to steer him in the right direction, the detective becomes famous across the country for being able to solve difficult cases. These short episodes are sometimes clever, but the murder schemes are often as ridiculous as the premise of the series.
