Editorial Reviews

When Conan, Richard, and Rachel are offered a free stay at a posh hotel on the beach if they join a mystery tour, they jump at the chance. But their accommodations are only paid for in full if they uncover the identity of the tour promoter who is posing as one of the guests. It’s all fun in the sun until one of the tour members is murdered! But which of the other tour members would murder the promoter and why? Could it be the sexy entrepreneur, Heidi Camino? Or perhaps the oddly intimidating computer expert Mark McKean? Or perhaps former Martial Arts Champ Cliff Reed and his fiancé, Audra? The wise, elderly Winston Cadbury and his burly assistant, Miss Bunn, also cast an aura of suspicion. Just when Conan thinks he's close to solving the puzzle the unexpected happens; Knight Baron appears! But if the victim wasn't the tour promoter, then who is? And why has he lured these guests together for a mystery contest only to turn it into his personal game of murder?

4.0 out of 5 stars One of the best mysteries of the Fifth Season, January 4, 2006
This review is from: Case Closed - The Knight Baron Mystery (Season 5 Vol. 2) (DVD)
"Detective Conan", as it is known in Japan, is one of the longest running and one of the most popular TV shows in Japan. However, it has not achieved the same level of popularity in the US by a long shot.

These episodes, which have not yet been aired on US Television, are perhaps some of the best in the entire series. Taken from Volume 8 of the Manga, this 3-part mystery involves a mysterious tour at a seaside hotel, where the mysterious Knight Baron appears and attempts to assassinate Conan - but before Conan can figure out which tour member tried to kill him, the Knight Baron himself turns up dead - and Conan must again prove that what seems like accidental death is actually a murder.

One of the best mysteries of the series by far - don't miss this DVD.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best show ever, December 11, 2005
This review is from: Case Closed - The Knight Baron Mystery (Season 5 Vol. 2) (DVD)
This is a great show, do not listen to the person below. They dont know anything and are very rude. This show is about a high school detective who gets turned into a kid by a poison. So now he is on a mission to find the antidote but must keep his identity a secret. He ends up living with his girlfriend who doesnt know who he is. Her father is a detective so he hopes he can lead him to the culprits. As for this dvd, i will say it is great! This dvd makes me think of it as a movie. It is a 3 part episode so it might as well be. It is a big case but i dont want to give it away.
