5.0 out of 5 stars One of my favorite things
My yellow peanut Case goes everywhere with me, except the airport and federal buildings of course. Small enough to forget its there, useful enough to always remember it (how about that!). The blades are NOT stainless, but are chrome vanadium - making them superior for sharpening. You'll never realize how bad you needed one of these in your pocket until you start...

2.0 out of 5 stars Yellow handle /Case Peanut Pocket Knife
I was not completely satisfied with this product. I have been purchasing Case pocket knives for over 20 years and I have always been satisfied with the quality of Case Knives. I love the style of this particular knife. I have two others just like it with different handle material. This knife has a hair line crack on both sides of the knife where the handles are attached...

I was not completely satisfied with this product. I have been purchasing Case pocket knives for over 20 years and I have always been satisfied with the quality of Case Knives. I love the style of this particular knife. I have two others just like it with different handle material. This knife has a hair line crack on both sides of the knife where the handles are attached to the sides of the knife. This is the first time that I have purchased a Case knife that was not excellent quality. I was sent a second knife to replace the one that I purchased and it also had the same defect. I must say that I was disappointed. Thanks, for asking my opinion. William J. Wells, Case knife collector.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect EDC in any trouser pocket, May 26, 2011
This review is from: Case Cutlery 030 Case Peanut Pocket Knife with Chrome Vanadium Blades, Yellow Synthetic (Tools & Home Improvement)
Hard to find a product like this in the UK and harder still to find UK reviews, but definitely worth getting hold of one of these.
I've hunted high and low for the perfect pocket knife and I've lost count of the times when I've needed something for an everyday job and had to make do. I've looked at and tried a whole variety of brands, designs and sizes over the years.
Considering UK knife law, weight, size, blade material (My Dad always used to go on about Chrome Vanadium - with good reason I realised when I got older), blade strength, ease of sharpening, edge retention, shape, style, build quality, looks, heritage and just plain usefulness this has to be the perfect solution.
It goes in jeans pockets or suit pockets easily and unobtrusively.
If you want an everyday pocket knife that'll do all-sorts of jobs big and small, and sit unobtrusively in your pocket then this is the one.

This knife is small enough to fit comfortably in my pocket, so I take it with me everywhere. The blades are very sharp--much better than stainless steel!--and have stayed that way for several months of everyday use.

Note that the blades will be hard to move at first, but will losen up after using it for a while. You should also oil the blades regularly (use 3-in-1 or something similar), and use metal polish to remove spotting when it occurs.

This knife fulfilled the two things I was looking for -- made in the U.S.A. and chrome vanadium blades. Considering the quality of the knife, the affordable price, and the Case reputation, this knife is hard to beat.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect pocket knife, razor sharp, September 27, 2011
This review is from: Case Cutlery 030 Case Peanut Pocket Knife with Chrome Vanadium Blades, Yellow Synthetic (Tools & Home Improvement)
While most major brands of pocket knives (like Kissing Crane and Shrade) are now manufactured in China, Case is an all American company that produces an excellent product right here. I also own a yellow handle Case trapper (a larger pocket knife) but the peanut goes everywhere with me. Fits perfect in the change pocket of jeans. The 2 inch blade is surprisingly adequate for most tasks, greatly due to the razor sharp edge the company puts on its blades. Once the blades are open, they really lock down, and when closing they have a "stop" at 90 degrees that ensures they don't inadvertently close on your finger. I highly recommend this knife. One warning: despite it's size and "cute" appearance, don't buy this for a young kid. It's too sharp and a kid could really get hurt closing it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Case & Sons 030 2-Blade Pocket knife, July 20, 2000

Unlike most small-sized, stainless steel pocket knives, this Case & Sons model is exceptionally easy to open. It has a great vintage look and smooth action. The blade is stainless steel, sure for a long life, and comes sharp as ever. The only draw back is that is has no blade lock.
