It is difficult to see Ministry live; Tours are usually painfully short. Especially today! Where are they?? Not to mention they don't always make it anywhere near where you live. If you like Ministry as I do and have not had an oppertunity to see them live this will definately give you a feel for some of the excitement. Got to love the two drummer intro in the begining with Breath. This video covers songs from The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste and The Land of Rape and Honey, a CD is also available. In my opinion you can't miss this live concert event. Ministry videos are practically impossible to find. Overall got to give this two thumbs up (don't have three).

MINISTRY rocks live,

This video is from Ministry's 1990-1991 tour. This video is basically exactly what it says. "Just in case you didn't feel like showing up", this video was made to give you the Ministry Live experience in the safety of your own home. I have seen Ministry live a few times and this video does them justice in capturing the raw energy of their live shows. Standout songs on this include Burning Inside, Thieves, The Land of Rape and Honey with Jello Biafra, Breathe and Stigmata.Chris Connelly from Revco & Nivek Oger from Skinny Puppy are both on this video. Al Jourgensen Live, well let's just say he is a commando hill-billy ready to rock your [butt] off and scare the [stuff] out of you along the way. If you like Ministry, you already own this. If you want to see how a real Rock/Metal/Industrial band rocks out live, then buy this.

I just want to say "ditto" to J.M. Adam's review below. I ALSO was at that show (got my lip split in the pit--good times!), and you can see me (just for a sec) in the video as well. It's like a high-school yearbook for delinquent region rats circa 1989. Somebody PLEASE put this out on DVD so I can have it pristine and digital forever!

This video reminds me of my youth. As a teenager in Boston i went to every Ministry all ages show from the HALLOWEEN TOUR TO LAND Of RAPE ETC.. to this one with some REVCO shows tossed in. The shows were often so violent the pit so masive the band jumping off ther stage and music blaring so loud the energy was kill kill. Seeing Ministry live back in the day was more of a big rumble. The last Ministry show i remember seeing during this period of Ministry was for this tour, two ambulances were out side the Channle pulling kids out with broken arms and bloody faces. My friends and i looked down at our own bruses and said this is the last time we stay in the front for a Ministry show.
Good days to be a punk kid in Boston, Ministry mixed Rock with punk metol industrial dance music to a nasty driving beat way before Trent reznor got his first drum machine. Alone with Skinny puppy and front 242 they were the kings of agressive dance or electro music like Depeche Modes evil little brothers, they plowed through your mind and did it better then anyone to this day ever dose, they didnt need to have a hissy fit on stage and break there own keyboards there music did it foir them. With the exception of the silly pointless Jello Beafro spouting off 3rd grader politics this is a must have for any Ministry fan, just kinda sad that mr ex dead kennedys went on stage spouted a silly anti governement rant as bad as my spelling "sons of senitors sons of senitors" oh god! Kinda killed the mood of the Land of rape and honey but anyway all that aside this is a great tape from one of the worlds missed bands.

WITHOUT A DOUBT MY FAVORITE VHS TAPE I EVER PURCHASED (BEFORE THE DVD ERA). I COULDN'T EVEN TELL YOU HOW MANY SPEAKERS I HAVE DESTROYED WATCHING THIS VIDEO. (MY FRIENDS AND MY OWN!) THIS IS THE REAL MUSIC THAT WAS BEING MADE IN THE LATE 80'S EARLY 90'S. THIS IS THE CLASSIC LINEUP, INCLUDING OGRE, CHRIS CONNELLY, MARTYN ATKINS, BILL RIEFLIN AND OF COURSE HYPO LUXA AND HERMES PAN. WAX TRAX RECORDS FINEST GROUP-WHERE IT'S NOT JUST A STUDIO, IT'S A WAY OF LIFE.

There's nothing like the sound of live music, and Ministry gets the crowd jumpin' with their own brand of sonic fury. The cage climbers are awesome!

5 Stars. This is what a show is all about. I was there. The show on the VHS version was filmed in Dallas in Jan. 1990 , I saw this show the next night, in Austin at the Coliseum. Most powerful live show I've ever seen. Never has sonic and visual assault been so welcome. When they launched into "Stigmata" I believed that the building would implode from the sheer energy. Only gripe I have is that it is not available in DVD yet. I defy anyone to name a current band with the energy and thrash power of Ministry.
