Leave 'em laughing,
This review is from: The Case of the Dirty Bird (Culpepper Adventures) (Paperback)
I read this book to several classes of 4th graders. It was a hoot! The an old parrot in a pet store is the Dirty Bird in question and it spouts random dialogue from old TV commercials, clues to the mystery and inappropriate language, never actually spelled out but implied. The characters and their interactions are funny with Amos providing comic relief. It all ends with an explosion. What more could you want to entertain a class! Highly recommended and I wish it was still in print.
