Book Description

December 30, 2008
Doubt is familiar territory for Lee Strobel, the former atheist and award-winning author of books for skeptics and Christians. But he believes that faith and reason go hand in hand, and that Christianity is a defensible religion. In this six-session video curriculum, Strobel uses his journalistic approach to explore the most common emotional obstacles to faith in Christ. These include the natural inclination to wrestle with faith and doubt, the troubling presence of evil and suffering in the world, and the exclusivity of the Christian gospel. They also include this compelling question: Can I doubt and be a Christian? Through compelling video of personal stories and experts addressing these topics, combined with reflection and interaction, Christians and spiritual seekers will learn how to overcome these obstacles, deepen their spiritual convictions, and find new confidence that Christianity is a reasonable faith.

4.0 out of 5 stars Strobel's study guide is really open wide for creative teaching, July 7, 2009
This review is from: The Case for Faith Participant's Guide: A Six-Session Investigation of the Toughest Objections to Christianity (Paperback)
I like the study guide because it isn't a narrow questionaire like most.
It leaves lots of room for creative teaching and discussion with the participants. By doing it this way, we are able to search God's Word with a freedom not allowed in most guides. I have never used a guide before, but would use this one again and again.

My Bible study group struggled with the question of Evil in the world. We tried many
different approached which had great depth but were beyond the groups ability to comprehend. This DVD and Guide over came our difficulties! Thanks be to God!

5.0 out of 5 stars SEEK THE TRUTH AND YOU WILL FIND IT, May 6, 2011

This review is from: The Case for Faith Participant's Guide: A Six-Session Investigation of the Toughest Objections to Christianity (Paperback)
In this book, Lee Strobel brilliantly exposes the lie of evolution that so many of our young people have been told in their schools. Why has this atheistic view taken such a hold? Because even educated people have closed their minds to the truth! Lee shows that when one truly searches for the truth, he or she will find it. By interviewing scholars from various disciplines, Mr. Strobel helps them bring to light important counter-arguments against their agnostic-atheistic claims. This is a must read for anyone who is truly searching for the truth, including Christians who need to strenghen their faith and witnessing knowledge base, in order that they may be able to "give an answer to anyone who asks them of the hope which lies within them" I Peter 3:15.
