5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for iPod Touch

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for iPod Touch, August 27, 2008

This review is from: Case Logic True Sport Armband Case for 80/120/160 GB iPod classic 6G; iPod touch 1G, 2G, 3G (Silver) (Electronics)
I am using this case with an iPod Touch 16GB and it works great. It feels very snug and I have no worries about the iPod falling out (like when it's inverted doing bench press). The headphone jack is accessible through a hole in the bottom so you can plug/unplug your headphones easily.

The iPod still registers touch through the screen on the case so don't worry about trying to touch the screen directly (I even wear this while I mow and I wear gloves and it still registers me touching it, although I do have to add a little pressure).

The strap is about 2" wide and very comfortable (stretchy neoprene) and is secured with a 2"x2" velcro end. So far, I have not had it come undone.

Lastly, there is a 3" piece of fabric that you can wrap your headphones around (you see it running vertical to the left of the main case in the product picture). This is great to keep just the right amount of headphone cable dangling so it doesn't constantly get in the way.

All in all, this is a great armband and would definitely recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great case for joggers with iPod Touch, July 8, 2008

I have tried three cases. One was too small; another was too difficult to strap on. When jogging you do not want to spend time pushing and arranging the music player into the case because it is such a snug fit. And wrapping the case around your arm can't take time either. Those are the two must haves for cases. Caselogic hits both without issue whereas the other cases failed.

Also the Caselogic case is not heavy, bulky and has a simple hole at the bottom to expose the headphone jack.

One of the generic issues with an iTouch is the ability to access volume and change tracks with jogging. No solve here you have to know where the home button to access volume and track selection.

Only caveat is the screen is not crystal clear-- so when viewing the iTouch screen there is a little glare-- but who looks at the screen while jogging?

2.0 out of 5 stars Inadequate, December 13, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Case Logic True Sport Armband Case for 80/120/160 GB iPod classic 6G; iPod touch 1G, 2G, 3G (Silver) (Electronics)
I bought this case to use with my iPod touch 2G when I go running, but I'm already looking for a replacement for the following reasons:
- the transparent plastic is not clear enough and the iPod's screen is not readable unless the plastic is kept taught against it
- the wide plastic buckle the band loops through can easily get pulled sideways, making the armband uncomfortable to wear
- the pouch has no protection to insure the iPod stays in it, like velcro, a strap or an elastic band. My iPod touch almost fell out of it a few times.
- the dock connector is covered, which makes it impossible to use the Nike+ dongle with a touch 1G, or a bluetooth transmitter with the 2G

If these problems were corrected, I would give this case four stars. Until then, it's just not adequate.

4.0 out of 5 stars good product for larger ipod models, January 12, 2009
This review is from: Case Logic True Sport Armband Case for 80/120/160 GB iPod classic 6G; iPod touch 1G, 2G, 3G (Silver) (Electronics)
this armband stays in place during exercise and stays flush against your arm. it eliminates some of the weight of wearing an 80gb ipod on your body and also doesn't get too sweaty.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Almost-Perfect Armband Case, January 7, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Case Logic True Sport Armband Case for 80/120/160 GB iPod classic 6G; iPod touch 1G, 2G, 3G (Silver) (Electronics)
This is the almost-perfect armband case for my ipod. It's comfortable and secure when I wear it to exercise, it allows me to easily remove my ipod so that I can charge it or use it in my speakers, and the little pocket inside is perfect for carrying my id, debit card, and some cash when I'm cycling. This armband is *so* much better than my awful old silicon armband that made my ipod very difficult to remove, and that split after just a month or so of taking the ipod in and out daily. It loses one star because it's difficult to use the buttons through the plastic cover, but at least I can easily take the ipod out if I want to change something.

5.0 out of 5 stars Smarter than the product, March 1, 2009
This review is from: Case Logic True Sport Armband Case for 80/120/160 GB iPod classic 6G; iPod touch 1G, 2G, 3G (Silver) (Electronics)
I like this product a lot! Before buying anything on amazon I always try and read through most of the reviews and some the reviews for this one made me scepticle to buy it. But I'm very glad I did. Some of the reviews say the clip on it can turn sideways and become comfortable. And they're right...if you're not smarter than a third grader and twist the band when tightening the armband it can become lopsided so people that complain about every little detail shouldn't buy this product. It is great for any exercise from running to weightlifting. They say it can fall out. So rotate the thing so your iPod doesn't fall out, seriously it takes longer to complain about than it does to fix the "problem". Another awesome thing about it is that it has a pouch for your gym card or key that is not only a pouch but protects from sweat touching your iPod..and trust me I sweat quite a bit so this is extremely helpful. For twenty dollars this is a great product and I will argue with anyone that says otherwise...hopefully this makes your decision easier! Happy trails :)

1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid this product, December 17, 2008
This review is from: Case Logic True Sport Armband Case for 80/120/160 GB iPod classic 6G; iPod touch 1G, 2G, 3G (Silver) (Electronics)
I wanted to like this product, I really did. Having owned Case Logic products over the years, this one seemed like a no-brainer when I was searching for an iPod armband recently. When I first got it, I was impressed by both its comfort and its looks. However, it is extremely poorly constructed. I have now had to return it twice after both the original armband and its replacement fell apart in different ways after only a few days at the gym. It's a shame because this is a well-designed armband save for its obvious construction quality flaws. Needless to say, I won't be buying a third.

3.0 out of 5 stars only one flaw in the design., January 13, 2009
This review is from: Case Logic True Sport Armband Case for 80/120/160 GB iPod classic 6G; iPod touch 1G, 2G, 3G (Silver) (Electronics)
I use the Case Logic True Sport Armband Case with my Ipod Classic to work out at the gym.
I like the design. It feels comfortable and it's easy to wear.
the ony flaw ib the design is that it does not have a strap otr clip to secure the ipode inside the case. If I lay down to bench press the ipod falls off the case. I added a safety pin to keep it inside the case.

4.0 out of 5 stars Product as expected, October 16, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Case Logic True Sport Armband Case for 80/120/160 GB iPod classic 6G; iPod touch 1G, 2G, 3G (Silver) (Electronics)
I looked at a lot of different armbands for my iPod Classic, and decided on Case Logic. I agree with the other reviews that it needs a closure at the top to keep the iPod in place, but haven't had it slip out yet. Yes the screen is a bit difficult to read because of the plastic they used as a protective covering, but overall it fit my needs. I did discover that it has a compartment for you ID, credit card, or room key if you are staying at a hotel, which is nice. I would recommend this product, and if you are worried about a closure at the top just add a piece of velcro yourself.
