This case is absolutely perfect for the Sony Handycam DCR-SR45. The case is well padded and holds the camera, charger/cord, USB cord, audio/video cord and a spare battery. It is packed tight and all fit snugly. Unfortunately, there is no room for the Sony Operating Guide. However, the complete Operating Guide comes on a CD with the camera in pdf. format. I placed the file on an inexpensive thumb drive and slipped it into one of the pockets inside the case. In this day and age a computer is always close by. I also placed the file on my Dell Axim Pocket PC. The case is very compact which is what one wants in a handycam anyway. It comes with a detachable padded shoulder stap. No major negatives so far with this case for this Sony Handycam model.

very nice compact case for my sony handycam, my wife can easily put it in her purse or in the diaper bag, other bigger cases you have to carry them on your shoulder which might be a problem if you have little kids and you need an extra arm, despite being compact I was able to place the camcorder, extra battery, USP cable, extra memory card and the digital camera inside the case easily, I've been using it for almost 2 years now and this case proved to be durable.

This case fits my Sony Vixia HFS100 nice and tight. The camera barely brushes the top of the case as it closes, but it will not do any harm in the long run. The case is well padded and I'm sure a drop from my shoulder would be well protected. There is plenty of storage space on the backside for your flash media cards and other accessories. I was able to put my ipod touch and blackberry curve side by side in the back snugly (to let you know how much space you have to work with). I purchased the BP-827 battery and the CG-800 charger for my camera and they surprisingly fit in the back section of the case. You can see a small bump, but they fit just fine without making any obvious lumps.

The handle on the top is tight - maybe it will stretch out over time (I just got it on the day of this review). I can easily hold this case with two fingers, but if I try to use four fingers, it's super tight and does not feel right. The shoulder strap is probably what I will use - it goes from about 33" to 48". Extended to 48", I can fit it across my chest and under my arm - the bottom of the case ends up about an inch above my hip/belt/phone (I wish the strap could be extended more). I am 6'2" though, so maybe it will be different for you. It's a bit awkward because the pad doesn't move so the bag has to be centered under my arm or the pad won't line up correct with my shoulder. I will probably end up looking for a different strap since this one is not comfortable for me and it seems like it was made with less thought than the actual case. Don't get me wrong though, it works... and it will do in most situations. I'm just picky.

Overall, the case seems fine. The way you carry the case might be challenging if you are as picky as me.
