I usually love Case Logic products, and use quite a few of them for various electronic gizmos. They are typically very well-made and have wonderful protection for the item inside without being to bulky.
I'd been looking for medium-sized case that would not only hold my small HP laptop, but also a 3-ring binder and have an external compartment for the power cord and mouse.
The main pocket measures 10.5" tall by 13 3/4" wide and about 1 3/8" deep, it has a zipper which opens across the top and down about 3" on each side. The outer pocket measures 13 1/4" across the inside, 8" tall, and is about 3/4" deep, it has an inside sleeve with a 6" wide pocket on the left, two elastic pen holders in the middle, and a double (top and bottom) 4 1/2" wide pocket on the right. The outer section is lightly padded, and has a zipper that opens across the top and down about 1" on the sides.
This attache seemed to fit the bill for my needs, and everything does fit nicely inside. My only problem is with the lack of padding around the zipper area. The bottom and sides have the typical non-rigid foam, but the other three sides have nothing except a bit more material.
The canvas looks tough and rugged, but besides the fabric there's just no structure to the case, you can actually grab both sides and fold it in two without much effort at all.
I might keep it and use it for notebooks and books, but wouldn't consider it as a laptop carrier, my computer deserves better protection!

Purchased for my new Latitude E6410, it's well padded with just enough room for the essential peripherals and few folders. Trim, light, and fast, the adjustable shoulder strap is not removable, the hand grip very comfortable. Smaller than the posted dimensions, no 15" laptop will fit, but those 10"x13"x1˝", as are most 14.1's, even with extended batteries, fit like a glove.

The Case Logic ENA-114 case is simply stated the best case for the MacBook Air 13" and iPad/iPhone made for the purpose intended. When I received it, the box was so light, my first thought was that this would not work. But, does it ever!!!
In the main compartment, with the hinge rib of the MBA at the bottom and the thinnest part of it at the zipper, this compartment will hold, easily, the MBA 13" the power cable and Mag Adapter when divided into two parts and stored in two separate plastic bags, the power cable for the iPad/iPhone 4 and the Apple Track Pad.
In the smaller front compartment, it would easily hold the iPad, but I would suggest that you either have it in a thin sleeve, another case or completely protected, back and front with the Zagg InvisibleShield for the iPad. I will also hold the iPhone 4. You would not need the iPhone additional power cable since it uses the same one as the iPad.
All zipped up, it creates a tight fit for great protection (foam is virtually non-existant inside the case, so be sure to carry it onboard an aircraft and store below the seat in front of you. The non-removable shoulder strap is comfortable because the weight of the case fully loaded is still around 5 pounds even with the Clamcase for the iPad which more than doubles the weight of the iPad. The carrying handles are just as easy to use and are very comfortable to carry all this with.
Simply stated, you can't go wrong with the purchase of this case. Amazon will take it back within 30 days of receipt. It comes with a lifetime guarantee, so, when you get the next versions of the MBA, iPad and iPhone, you can still use it as an overnight case for personal clothing items for the trip.
And, best of all, if you decide that you do not like it after the 30-day return period from Amazon, all you have spent is $20 and most of us waste that much each and every day or week on something we really don't need.
If there is a downside, it only comes in Black, but it still very nicely elegant.

Good inexpensive case...
