Case Logic PSL-16 Compact Sport Camera Case (Purple)

I carry my Canon Powershot camera nearly everywhere I go, and usually in my pocket, so I needed something without a lot of bulk yet that still protected my camera.

PROS: I've always been a fan of Case Logic quality, and this case is no exception. It's quite well made, with strong reinforced stitching and several unique features. I particularly like the elastic sides that hold my camera snug. The large caribiner clip would be perfect for someone wanting to carry this on a belt loop or bag. Additionally, the Velcro flaps that hold down the clip when not in use can also be attached to a belt or shoulder strap. The fabric is a rugged, water-shedding nylon(?) similar to my beloved Eastpak bags. The overall look isn't imposing, and could easily be carried by a man, woman or teen.

CONS: While the case is slim, the cover flap, clip and Velcro almost double the overall thickness, which overrides the small size of my camera -- one of its greatest features. Even though my camera is thin, I had to pull the cover flap down firmly to entirely cover up the "hook" part of the Velcro (the part that always snags on things!) Unfortunately, the added tension of doing so made the cover flap stick outward even further, adding to the overall bulk as well as making it more prone to catching on objects and being pulled open. That could have easily been solved by a longer flap or a narrower Velcro hook section.

In the end, I took a seam ripper and carefully removed the top flap, including the clip, and also the hook Velcro piece. What I was left with was the front and back of the case and the elastic sides, and now it's perfect! I no longer have a flap over the end of the camera, but it now facilitates easy, quick access yet still offers protection to my LCD screen. I had to modify it a bit to suit my unique needs, but overall this is an excellent camera case!

I like the velcro straps. But it does not fit my Samsung TL34HD camera. I have to force it to make it fit.

This is an excellent choice (nice but not expensive) for a digital camera. I bought it for my teenage daughter and she loved it.

It's perfect. I use it for my sony cybershot. Fits snug and is very functional. Much better than the case I had before, which cost more than this one. I should have started with this one to begin with!

This case is well made, as are all case logic items. However, I have a Sony Cybershot DSC-W 150, and while it fit in the slot, the cover flap didn't fully close all the way. The velcro was exposed and that would cause problems down the road. However, I really liked the case, and the purple color. So I will be buying the next size up, has 2 separate pockets and the camera pocket zips. I bought this for an upcoming trip, and I always carry an extra battery and memory card. The medium size will fit just fine. If you've got a small camera, and don't carry extra cards, this case will be fine for you!

I am so pleased with the case I bought for my camera. I spent time looking at a lot of options and finally settled on this based on price, reviews and functionality. If you are looking for something cute yet practical, this case is for you. I didn't want black...too basic. The plum color is beautiful. Gives it enough color to make it unique, but not so much that a guy won't want to carry it.

A very nice camera case for the money you pay! It has a nice padding and will save your camera from 'accidental drops'. I use this case for my Canon Powershot SD1100 IS. It fits just right.It also has a hook at the back.
Although, the outer cover is not as smooth as it looks in the picture. It is rough. This is the only reason for me to give it a 4 star.
