5.0 out of 5 stars Great iPad bag!, May 12, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Finally a man bag I can justify carrying. I've been looking for something to carry around my iPad and any accessories I need for it, and researched all kinds of bags on the internet for a while. I looked at custom made ones, which are typically outrageously expensive, and then decided to search for netbook bags. I came upon these series of bags, and settled upon the midsize one, instead of the smaller or larger bag. Glad I picked this one!

SIZE
Its size is pretty much perfect for the iPad. I keep mine jacketed in the Apple case, which adds a little bulk to it, and it still fits snuggly inside. It feels very secure, and I feel like it's protected from any kind of physical damage. I do have to sometimes pull the zippers over the iPad, but once they are in place, it zips up without any issue at all.

STORAGE
As far as carrying other items go, it will easily store all/any cables you need to take along with you, the Apple Camera Connection kit, and it will even (mostly) fit the Wireless Apple Keyboard. Using one of the other pockets (either the zippered one) or the outside pocket that doesn't zip up, you can easily slip the keyboard in and it is mostly covered. You cannot zip up the pocket, as it still juts out a bit, but it's certainly a solution if you aren't worried about tossing the bag somewhere and having the keyboard slide out. (For example, if you're just using it to carry it on you from point A to B, as a messenger bag, then it works great.) I also like that one of the outer pockets has a little magnet on it, that keeps it shut. It's not a full seal though, so if you put something small in there, don't expect it to stay inside.

COMFORT
Its comfort is fine, I have been using it mostly between home and coffee shops / other locations, and never felt like it was annoying or heavy to carry around. The bag itself is practically weightless, without anything in it.

OTHER THOUGHTS
This is a great alternative to carrying a larger messenger bag, carrying a full laptop bag, or spending a fortune on a custom iPad bag. I love that I can toss what I need it, and throw it into the back of my car, and be on my way, without much thought. Also, if you're a guy and worried about carrying around what resembles a man-purse, I wouldn't worry too much. It goes well with just about any outfit, and looks like a small laptop bag.

IN SUMMARY
If you're in the market for an iPad bag, give this one a try. I think you'll love all the space for accessories, cables, cleaning cloths, etc, without having to carry around a giant bag. (The iPad, after all, isn't a large laptop, which is what makes matching it with a small bag so appealing.)

3.0 out of 5 stars Too small for a lot of accessories, May 10, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
Bought this for my new Asus 1002HA 10.1" netbook. If I were to only carry the netbook and its power supply (along with accessories such as cell phone, biz cards, etc), this case would be fine - very nice size & lightweight. Yes, the strap is a bit cheesy, but not a real problem. However, if I include my cordless mouse, the bag bulges. I had also wanted to carry my new slim-line CD-DVD drive in this bag, but, again, the bag bulges so much that its compactness & ergonomics are nullified. My netbook came with its own foam-fitted sleeve, which I'd like to use for added protection. However, the netbook won't fit in this bag if I keep it in its sleeve.

The bag itself is nice, I just should've have bought the next size up.

I bought this after finding a caselogic MP3 player case was just not large enough for my AT&T Tilt phone with power adapter, bluetooth, etc.

Construction is quite solid. Padding for the main parts of the bag could be improved to include some air foam, but is quite serviceable. The cell phone and pocket digital recorder go in special pockets, as does my bluetooth earpiece. The power adapters go down in the same section of the bag along with a couple of pens, post-it notes, my wallet, and checkbook. It keeps everything pretty well organized.

It will safely hold a letter sized folder with a few pages if that's all you need to carry too or from work.

In the main pouch, I carry a "rugged" folding knife, small high-output flashlight, battery charger for my phone, leatherman tool kit, and a few other things that would come in handy if I was caught in an emergency any where. Throw a couple of paperbacks or CDs or DVDs in the pouch with the velcro fastener, and you are equiped for anything you are likely to face during a day. It would make a useful "light" overnight bag with room for undies, socks, toothbrush and toothpaste -- but not much else.

It could have been made even more useful (in this price range), by including a couple of sewn in rings for clips on the outside of the bag, and a rubberized covering on the bottom which tends to get dusty on the floor of a car or bus. The shoulder strap is not particularly comfortable, but adequate, and for the price the strap is acceptable but minimal. It needs more adjustment and a little more substantial webbing in my opinion. Basic black is okay with me, but there are a lot of people I'm sure who would like other color choices.

Overall, a very good product for a man who wants to have all he needs with him, but not carry anything in his pockets.
