This 18" case provides durable but lightweight construction that allows you to comfortably transport a 17-18.4" laptop. Practical organization strategically stores power cords, portable mouse and other accessories to minimize bulk. Padded, top-load laptop compartment holds devices up to 17.8 x 12.2 x 1.9" and features a removable, adjustable padded divider that creates a custom fit that can hold a range of laptops with displays from 15-18.4", including both the 15" or 17" Macbook Pro®.Materials

Laptop Compartment
Dual, high-quality zippers slide along the top and both sides of the case, allowing full access into the laptop compartment. Dense foam padded divider adjusts to create a custom fit for a range of laptops with displays 15-18.4" or a 15" or 17" MacBook Pro®. Full compartment dimensions measure 17.8 x 12.2 x 1.9". Additional space can be used for a power brick, cords, portable hard drive or other bulky accessories. Laptop secures into place with an adjustable webbing strap. I have to admit, when I first opened the box and took this bad boy out, I was appalled by the size. I've been trying to go smaller and smaller with everything I carry around on a daily basis. My four-pound notebook computer looked almost lost in it.
Then, when I started adding in the notes, books, pens, mouse, external drive, earphones, and other accessories I carry regularly, I was surprised again by how much the case held. Comfortably. Everything is easily laid out inside it, easy to get to and quick to hand. I love the outside entrance/pocket that allows me to get to some of my equipment without opening the case. The case looks good and appears very durable. It stands up and provides good protection for the computer.

This case logic bag is what I would call a computer case on the cheap. This bag is light weight and would do in a pinch, but it is not a long term investment. One could get an oversized laptop into the center pouch, which provides a padded adjusted that can be adjusted for smaller laptops. For an inexpensive machine, this *could* work as a short term solution.
The bag is light weight, thinly padded and the materials are simply too thin to provide any level of protection. While the seams were all well sewn, I found that the shoulder strap clips (those clips that attach the strap to the bag to be plastic with metal wire closers) to look cheap. While the springs on these are tense, one side broke while trying to detach the strap. As a result, its in the trash. I simply can not recommend this case if you can afford to buy a better one. As I said, this would work in a pinch as an emergency computer case, but it simply isn't what I would consider safe for a general purpose laptop.

I had bought a new Qosmio X505 laptop with an 18.4 inch screen and needed a larger case. This case works great. It's easily large enough for the laptop as well as all the various peripherals. The bag itself has a nice feel.
