5.0 out of 5 stars Great Small Device Bag
I recently purchased the ASUS EEE 1000H PC and wanted a small, easily luggable bag to hold this new toy as well some of my other devices in, so I decided to give this bag a shot.

The bag has a front zipper pocket, a back velcro pocket and the main compartment. I like the front zipper pocket because it allows easy access to frequently used items. The back...

I was expecting one more separate compartment for the computer. I still need to use a sleeve also to keep the computer's case from getting scratched by other items stored in the same compartment. The zipper pouch on the front is for small accessories (thumb drive, small mouse) while the velcro part on the back could be used for the power supply. All other items,...

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Small Device Bag, October 18, 2008

This review is from: Case Logic XNTM-1 Slim Line eSling (Black) (Personal Computers)

The back velcro pocket can store loose paper and a small pocket reference book. The main compartment has a zipper compartment (for small loose items), 4 pockets (for devices, sunglases, cables, etc.), 1 pocket for business cards and 2 pen holders. So what better way to review a product than just to let you know what I have in it right now?

In the front zipper pocket, I have my Canon SD400, Magellan 4250, wallet and keys. Even with all those items, there is still a little wiggle room in this pocket.

In the back velcro pocket, I have a bunch of loose paper and Barron's Japanese Grammar pocket reference book. It's pretty snug with all of that, but I reckon I can fit a few more sheets of loose paper.

Now for the main compartment. In the zipper pocket, I have headphones/earbuds, 4 Nintendo DS games, 2 SD cards in cases. Even with all those items, I can fit more small things in there. I have a pen and Sharpie in the pen holders. I have my AT&T Tilt and Nintendo DS in 2 of the device pockets. The major item that takes up most of the space in the main compartment is the ASUS EEE 1000H PC that I'm writing this review on. This device fits, very snugly, in the main compartment. Initially I thought it wouldn't fit, but with proper bag maneuvering (somewhat similar to putting on the bed sheet cover), I was able to fit the netbook in the compartment without scratching the case (very important =]). I do not use the other 2 device pockets because there is no room left in the main compartment.

I tried to be product specific in listing the items in the bag to give you a better visualization on what exactly fits in it. The bag feels quite sturdy with all of the items in it. I find it very easy to carry around and will be using it as a daily device bag. Overall I like the product and would gladly recommend it.

Update 2009-03-17:

I've had this for a few months now and I continue to use it on a daily basis. I took it with me on my Christmas in New York vacation and was able to utilize this bag to carry various cold weather accessories (i.e. scarf, gloves and beanie). The bag feels and looks as sturdy as ever, it still holds my netbook and other accessories. My ONLY complaint with the bag is the outside zipper pocket. Since it is vertical zipper, I sometimes forget to zip it and I feel like I will lose something. Other than that I love the bag.

3.0 out of 5 stars Expected another compartment, February 8, 2009

I was expecting one more separate compartment for the computer. I still need to use a sleeve also to keep the computer's case from getting scratched by other items stored in the same compartment. The zipper pouch on the front is for small accessories (thumb drive, small mouse) while the velcro part on the back could be used for the power supply. All other items, computer included, are stored in the main center compartment. The strap also seems connected oddly, it almost appears twisted. I am using it to store an Eeepc 900HA with mouse, power supply, and misc small items.

My iPad fits perfectly in this bag. Now I don't have to worry about carrying it with me all the time and misplace it by accident. The bag also has a lot of pockets to put my keys, wallet, PSP, Sprint Overdrive 4G, ipod touch, etc. I carry my bag everywhere with me and its pretty comfortable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for my Kindle, April 28, 2010
This review is from: Case Logic XNTM-1 Slim Line eSling (Black) (Personal Computers)
When I got my Kindle 2, I wanted a small bag that I could carry it in without needing an additional cover. I also needed a bag that would organize my other necessities and would go over my shoulder. This bag admirably fit all my requirements. In addition to the Kindle, I carry a wallet, checkbook, pen and pencil, cell phone, passport, hand lotion, perfume atomizer, lip balm, and various business cards in it now - all easily accessible in the pockets. I have also, in the past, carried a notebook, reading light, various chargers and headphones. The only thing that I would consider replacing it with would be a leather version with a flap instead of a zipper top. Until then, this is my bag of choice.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Case but does not fit samsung nc10 netbook, May 18, 2009
This review is from: Case Logic XNTM-1 Slim Line eSling (Black) (Personal Computers)
This is a great case but it does not fit the samsung nc10 netbook which was the reason I purchased it. It may fit other 10 inch netbooks and would certainly fit 9 inch netbooks. It is very well organised and it is made very well. If it was half an inch bigger it would have been perfect for my nc10 and I would have gladly kept it.

I purchased this bag for my new Acer 8.9 netbook. It is exactly the right size to hold the netbook, optical mouse, and the a/c cords for the netbook, plus a little room to spare. The only thing that would make it better would be if the strap were detachable. It's compact enough that it could be placed inside a larger tote bag or purse.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not much padding for Netbook., December 31, 2009

I purchased 3 different sizes of these eSling shoulder bags and returned two. I purchased the small XNTM-1, the medium XNTM-3, and the large XNTM-4. My goal was to find a vertical style briefcase replacement that could carry a netbook, my point-n-shoot digital camera, a small video camera and an audio recorder. I like the vertical format of these bags, they hang better from the shoulder than a wider messenger bag or briefcase.

As I suspected this small sized version 1 didn't work for me at all. It could just fit my EEE PC Seashell netbook in it's single zippered compartment. It can also hold a cell phone or small notebook like a steno pad in addition to the netbook, but not much else.

It also has little if any padding in the bottom of the case. As a result I can't suggest this for carring a netbook. If you have one of the new smaller smartbooks then maybe.

I ended up keeping the large XNTM-4 version. It carried everything I need and more.

Shoulder strap not long enough for larger person. Plenty of pockets. Nice snug fit for HP mini 1000.

I was looking for a bag which would protect my Acer Aspire and also carry the other items I would need on a trip back East(charger, mouse, etc.and pens,paper,what-have-you). This commodious little bag is perfect for my and the Acer's needs. It was the best choice according to the descriptions I read. I am happy to say that the descriptions are accurate and my Acer Aspire netbook will travel in style and comfort in this bag.

I wanted this to carry my Acer Aspire One. Its is perfect. I have the computer, power cord, and a small external cd-rom drive. Add a few pens and pencils and a small pad of paper, and you're all set. It meets my needs perfectly.
