Great iPad bag!,

Finally a man bag I can justify carrying. I've been looking for something to carry around my iPad and any accessories I need for it, and researched all kinds of bags on the internet for a while. I looked at custom made ones, which are typically outrageously expensive, and then decided to search for netbook bags. I came upon these series of bags, and settled upon the midsize one, instead of the smaller or larger bag. Glad I picked this one!SIZE Its size is pretty much perfect for the iPad. I keep mine jacketed in the Apple case, which adds a little bulk to it, and it still fits snuggly inside. It feels very secure, and I feel like it's protected from any kind of physical damage. I do have to sometimes pull the zippers over the iPad, but once they are in place, it zips up without any issue at all. STORAGE As far as carrying other items go, it will easily store all/any cables you need to take along with you, the Apple Camera Connection kit, and it will even (mostly) fit the Wireless Apple Keyboard. Using one of the other pockets (either the zippered one) or the outside pocket that doesn't zip up, you can easily slip the keyboard in and it is mostly covered. You cannot zip up the pocket, as it still juts out a bit, but it's certainly a solution if you aren't worried about tossing the bag somewhere and having the keyboard slide out. (For example, if you're just using it to carry it on you from point A to B, as a messenger bag, then it works great.) I also like that one of the outer pockets has a little magnet on it, that keeps it shut. It's not a full seal though, so if you put something small in there, don't expect it to stay inside. COMFORT Its comfort is fine, I have been using it mostly between home and coffee shops / other locations, and never felt like it was annoying or heavy to carry around. The bag itself is practically weightless, without anything in it. OTHER THOUGHTS This is a great alternative to carrying a larger messenger bag, carrying a full laptop bag, or spending a fortune on a custom iPad bag. I love that I can toss what I need it, and throw it into the back of my car, and be on my way, without much thought. Also, if you're a guy and worried about carrying around what resembles a man-purse, I wouldn't worry too much. It goes well with just about any outfit, and looks like a small laptop bag. IN SUMMARY If you're in the market for an iPad bag, give this one a try. I think you'll love all the space for accessories, cables, cleaning cloths, etc, without having to carry around a giant bag. (The iPad, after all, isn't a large laptop, which is what makes matching it with a small bag so appealing.)

Too small for a lot of accessories,

Bought this for my new Asus 1002HA 10.1" netbook. If I were to only carry the netbook and its power supply (along with accessories such as cell phone, biz cards, etc), this case would be fine - very nice size & lightweight. Yes, the strap is a bit cheesy, but not a real problem. However, if I include my cordless mouse, the bag bulges. I had also wanted to carry my new slim-line CD-DVD drive in this bag, but, again, the bag bulges so much that its compactness & ergonomics are nullified. My netbook came with its own foam-fitted sleeve, which I'd like to use for added protection. However, the netbook won't fit in this bag if I keep it in its sleeve. The bag itself is nice, I just should've have bought the next size up.

I bought this after finding a caselogic MP3 player case was just not large enough for my AT&T Tilt phone with power adapter, bluetooth, etc.Construction is quite solid. Padding for the main parts of the bag could be improved to include some air foam, but is quite serviceable. The cell phone and pocket digital recorder go in special pockets, as does my bluetooth earpiece. The power adapters go down in the same section of the bag along with a couple of pens, post-it notes, my wallet, and checkbook. It keeps everything pretty well organized. It will safely hold a letter sized folder with a few pages if that's all you need to carry too or from work. In the main pouch, I carry a "rugged" folding knife, small high-output flashlight, battery charger for my phone, leatherman tool kit, and a few other things that would come in handy if I was caught in an emergency any where. Throw a couple of paperbacks or CDs or DVDs in the pouch with the velcro fastener, and you are equiped for anything you are likely to face during a day. It would make a useful "light" overnight bag with room for undies, socks, toothbrush and toothpaste -- but not much else. It could have been made even more useful (in this price range), by including a couple of sewn in rings for clips on the outside of the bag, and a rubberized covering on the bottom which tends to get dusty on the floor of a car or bus. The shoulder strap is not particularly comfortable, but adequate, and for the price the strap is acceptable but minimal. It needs more adjustment and a little more substantial webbing in my opinion. Basic black is okay with me, but there are a lot of people I'm sure who would like other color choices. Overall, a very good product for a man who wants to have all he needs with him, but not carry anything in his pockets.

I was looking for a case for my Samsung NC10 laptop which wouldn't give up the portability but that would still look reasonably conservative (no garish colors and weird shapes). This case fits the bill very well; the NC10 fits comfortably and is well protected. There's room for the charger, mouse, an ethernet and usb cable, a small notebook, a few papers, my PDA, a paperback, and a few assorted other things - everything I really need to carry most of the time. The whole package is refreshingly light, and given that it is so light, the thin strap and "sling" form factor work very well and it's comfortable to carry even for extended periods. I'm very happy with it.

We recently purchased a Dell Mini-9 9" laptop/mini computer, and wanted a good case to protect it and make it easily transportable. There aren't many out, and while this case was a little pricey, the price, as it has been said- is forgotten long after the quality is remembered. It's a perfect size for these computers, has a pocket for accessories (wireless mouse) and the strap is perfect in execution. I simply love this case! NO regrets.

I had been looking something to carry around my new Dell Mini 9 netbook, and this one fit the bill perfectly. It has just the right amount of space to carry my Mini 9, my Kindle, my iPod and my DS. It has plenty of pockets for accessories and paperwork. The front pocket is held closed with magnets; this means you can have papers sticking out and the magnets will still hold onto them.

After looking what seemed like an eternity for an ipad bag (that was in stock and affordable) I decided to go with this case logic bag and I couldn't be more happy with it. The bag is padded so I feel confident knowing my ipad 3G will be protected. There are two large spots you can put the iPad in. On the front there's a zippered pocket, behind that there's a pocket with a magnet closure, and on the back of the bag theres a large Velcro pocket. Inside the bag there is a spot for your ID/passport, a place for 2 pens, and a total of four pockets inside made perfectly for a cell phone, ipods, iphones, USB, charger, headphones, or other accessories. I have a ipad with the official apple case and it fits perfect in here and not too snug. Without any case the iPad still fits snug with a little room on the top and sides. I almost went with this case crown messenger bag,Samsung N120-12GBK 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 6 Cell Battery Vertical Multi Pocket Messenger Bag - Black but it was always out of stock. I highly recommend this bag for the iPad if you don't want a huge bag, but something that is just the perfect size for your iPad and accessories.

The case looks great. It's not dark black, so it doesn't show dust as easily. It fits my HP Mini 5101 perfectly even though it's a bit longer than most netbooks due to the nearly full-size keyboard. There is enough room to comfortably hold my second phone & bluetooth mouse. Easy access pockets for passports and other travel documents. Stuffing my AC adapter and power cables in the front pocket has worked for now, but I'd like to find a smaller AC adapter to use. You can't pack EVERYTHING in it, but I'll be getting rid of my full-sized notebook case.

I've been using the Caselogic E-Sling for a few days now and think it is a perfect companion for the Samsung NC10 SE netbook. I particularly like the felt padding inside which holds and protects the netbook from damage as well as all the pockets and other hiding places for my gear. I have been easily able to stuff a Blackberry Curve, IPOD, Bang & Olfson headphones, power cords and cables, pens, flash drives, backup drives (2 including a DVD reader), business cards and other papers. All this without straining my back. My two minor complaints are lack of key clip and the odd way the shoulder strap is connected to the case. I think Caselogic could have done a better manufacturing or design job placing the straps so that they lie flat on both sides (they sort of criss-cross and stick out a bit). Overall I am extremely pleased with this item.

Great iPad tote bag,

This is a well designed bag that fits the iPad beautifully and doubles as a convenient "man purse". I'll just add a few comments that haven't appeared in other reviews.First, if you are considering this bag versus the next smaller one (XNTM-1), they are almost the same size. The difference is this bag has two main zippered compartments and is about 0.5 inch wider and 0.25 inch taller. Having two compartments is a great convenience. Go for the mid size bag. The next larger size (XNTM-4) is more like a laptop bag. Significantly larger with a flap closure and fewer outside convenience pockets. The strap on the XNTM-3 is a little unusual but allows the bag to ride very comfortably once you get the hang of it. The smaller compartments are great for getting stuff out of your pockets and very convenient. The larger main compartment fits the iPad perfectly. I use the "ACase Leather Flip Case" to protect the iPad itself and it slides easily into the main pocket. There's even room to add an Apple Wireless Keyboard if needed, but closing the zippers is a snug fit, so I only do this for transporting the keyboard from point A to point B. The combination of this eSling bag ($29) and ACase ($26) is surprisingly functional and inexpensive. |
