5.0 out of 5 stars This is a Killer Bag!!
There were not many reviews of this bag, but I'm so glad that I purchased it anyway. If you like function and want a clean looking bag to hold all your stuff and fly through airport security, then you will love this bag. After traveling with it and using it to hold magazines and papers in addition to my laptop, I'm sure that the smaller bag (ZNCS-116) would have been...

3.0 out of 5 stars Loved the bag but falling apart
I originally bought this bag from Fry's Electronics just after receiving my 17" Toshiba laptop and fell in love with it. I picked this bag because of the pockets that enable me to store a couple of small books, my necessary school papers, a small pencil bag, and my power cable.

GOOD:
-Great pockets for any college student's needs

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a Killer Bag!!, September 28, 2009
This review is from: Case Logic ZNCF-116 Fullsized 16-Inch Security Friendly Laptop Briefcase (Black) (Personal Computers)
There were not many reviews of this bag, but I'm so glad that I purchased it anyway. If you like function and want a clean looking bag to hold all your stuff and fly through airport security, then you will love this bag. After traveling with it and using it to hold magazines and papers in addition to my laptop, I'm sure that the smaller bag (ZNCS-116) would have been way too small and I would have been frustrated with it. Anyway, this bag has a very nice "fish mouth" compartment with a divider to hold magazines and reading material. The bag has a very clean look and is made of ballistic nylon, which seems very sturdy, including the handle and diagonal shoulder strap. My Hewlett Packard 16" DV6-1253CL laptop (which is actually 14.9" x 10.2" x 1.6") fits in snugly with ease. The TSA security feature works as advertised. I sent the bag through the screener easily after unzipping the case in half. There is also a strap which holds it nicely onto my rollaway when I don't want to carry it on my shoulder. All in all, a great bag at a bargain price for how functional it really is.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Case, September 24, 2009

Lightweight, well built, and economical carry case for my Dell 1640 XPS. I love the fact that it has lots of practical compartments and is supposedly approved by the TSA (security) for screening, without removal of the computer. I say supposedly because I haven't tried to pass through airport security yet but I am looking forward to the experience.

3.0 out of 5 stars Loved the bag but falling apart, March 17, 2010
This review is from: Case Logic ZNCF-116 Fullsized 16-Inch Security Friendly Laptop Briefcase (Black) (Personal Computers)

-Will fit up to a 17" laptop in pocket (plus sleeve)
-Not too heavy (obviously the laptop is the majority of the weight) and nylon is strong
-Center zippered area, if not used for TSA, is great for folders or papers you don't want to wrinkle
-Durable, has survived a whole year without many problems

BAD:
-The zipper compartment is a little tight for extracting your laptop, which could just be the laptop sleeve I have, but does not scratch your laptop
-Although pictures show the power brick fitting in the mesh TSA pockets, it does not fit well and will tear the pockets. Try to keep only paper or flat objects in pocket

UGLY:
-Stitching is second rate; seams do not match up most of the time
-Teal liner tears after awhile when you use the shoulder strap, one of the hooks is not properly ground to the stronger material of the case
-If you have ANYTHING in the case, front zipper pocket is too tight to fit anything in; pens get stuck in their inserts any way

OVERALL:
I love my laptop bag and it has come in very handy for my first laptop but I will have to buy a new one soon because of the growing tear in the liner. I wish Case Logic had made a better choice in hook placements, but what can you do? I would suggest this product to my friends even with the issues that have come about after a year of tough love (all around school, shove in and out of my car/trunk, stepped on when empty, used as a pillow, etc) but I would warn those thinking about this product that if you want to carry a lot with you, find a different case.

this case is nearly perfect for me. I love it but wish it had specific places for the chords. It's wonderful as is, though.
