The great thing about an iPad is that it is thin, light, and easy to take with you. I often take mine to court like I am toting a single legal pad. Now one might argue that you need a place to store accessories, and by that they mean a cable and power adapter. However these fit nicely in a pocket and, I assume, a purse.
But Case Logic has come up with a product you probably do not need, a nylon "attache" which is not bigger than a bread box. It even comes with a shoulder strap you can hook up when carrying the bag and iPad become too tiring. Since the combined weight of the two is a little less than 2 and a half pounds, this may not occur very ofen.
Now for those whose buy iPads and blue tooth keyboards like Apple Wireless Keyboard (Retail Packaging), the keyboard will fit in nicely. So if you are tempted to buy it to keep the iPad and wireless keyboard together, it is an acceptable solution. However to those who are tempted to buy keyboards, be advised that I did so when the iPad originally came out in 2010. I have since used it exactly zero times. Look around an airport of library and see how real people use iPads. They don't use keyboards and they don't have teeny tiny attache cases. And if you do have them, they will not be used enough to justify the cost.

This is one of those items that was difficult for me to review. Why? Because there were good attributes and some bad ones, which made me vacillate between a 3 and a 4. The main reason.....well, the bag was not exactly what I thought it would be. For some reason I felt that I would be able to use this product in the manner it was advertised...as a portable desk or mobile work station. Unfortunately it wasn't nearly easy to use as I thought, my resolve even more sure as I lay in bed writing this review. Perhaps I should have played with various surfaces, like a table tray versus my lap, but it just didn't seem as comfortable as I expected. To me, the little ledge did not hold the IPAD as steadily as it appeared in the pictures. The side bands that offer support also don't seem to be as taunt as they should be. Now the positive things (which I think outweigh the other stuff). For me, I love the fact that this bag offers storage space for everything that you'd need for your IPAD if you were traveling or just jetting around town. Instead of the work station concept, I decided that I would use this bag primarily to protect my IPAD, as well as my accessories. In essence, this is the perfect all-in-one electronic travel case. This basic black bag has lots useful compartments that can be used to hold a keyboard (securely), adaptors, chargers, wires, pens, or virtually anything that you think you could use while working and traveling. And the bag can be carried by its versital handles or comfortable shoulder strap. And to be honest, as a girlie-girl, I love the fact that the bag is small, useful and compact. You could even throw it into an ever bigger purse, or just add your identification and a few dollars and travel to Starbucks and enjoy.

I have an iPad First Generation with keyboard dock and have taken these with me for several weeks in this case. CaseLogic of course makes great stuff and specialize in exactly these types of products, so you are not going to go wrong with anything they do. Time well tell as far as how durable this guy is-but it certainly seems like it will hold up well-the zippers are great and solid-which are usually the item breaking the soonest on these sorts of things.
I would say the strength of this case is also it's weakness. If you are wanting to transport your iPad, keyboard dock and a charger with maybe some wallet contents-this is going to be a great case for you. If you want anything more than that, you are going to have to carry another bag/purse, etc. or just flat out get something bigger. This case is meant to hold the above mentioned items snugly and be lean and mean. If that's what you are looking for-you got it. The case is durable and looks pretty good. If you need to carry even one additional item such as a calendar, spiral notebook, paperback book, even Kindle-you won't fit it along with the other items I mentioned in this case. For me, I need something just a bit bigger than this. Again, it's not meant to be big, but lean. There aren't a ton of pockets are places to put very many things so be aware.
It will, however protect your iPad, transport it and do so very nicely with the dock.keyboard. It's a niche item in my mind and if the above describes your niche-you will love it.
