This is a great case. It's very unobtrusive and wraps around the 4 very tightly, like it's part of the phone. Other cases can give a bit when you squeeze or don't quite grip right, but this one is perfect. The matte but smooth material (I got black) is high-quality and doesn't scratch easily. It slides into pockets easily unlike other cases. I have a front and back protective film on my iPhone 4 (from another manufacturer) so my phone is fully guarded from scratches. As with all cases, impact protection is a compromise. If you want to drop your phone with complete assurance that no harm will come of it, you have to cover it completely in soft rubber. This case won't give you that kind of protection. It doesn't rise above the front face of the camera, which is great because it doesn't interfere with swiping gestures and gives it that "barely there" flush profile, but it also doesn't protect the front as a result. In general this case will keep you from damaging the parts of the phone it covers (duh), namely the back, sides, and corners, which is what I find gets chipped and dinged most often with falls. (I speak from experience.) I think this case is the perfect compromise between protection, aesthetics, and utility.

The case is very slim and light and does a nice job of protecting the buttons and the back. However, the edges do lie completely even with the front and, as a result, offer no screen protection. I dropped my iphone on flat pavement and the glass took the full brunt of the impact. If the sides overlapped the front just a little, I think it would have been fine. Unfortunately the glass shattered. My own negligence of course, but once I get my phone repaired I will be using a different protector.

I'm a big fan of snap-on slim cases because I personally hate a bulky iPhone in my pocket.

Pros:
-fits phone perfectly
-nice matte finish has a little grip to it, but not too much where it'll get stuck in pockets
-I do like the viewing window in the back
-it has a lip that comes over the top and bottom of the phone protecting the glass, unlike other snap-ons that I've seen
-fixes antenna signal problem
-no "drowning out" in photos with flash
-big cutouts for ports so any headphone jack or charger will work

Cons:
-the lip on the side of the glass does not come up at all, so if the phone is laid front-down, the glass is exposed to the surface
-case didn't come with a screen protector

Overall a nice case at a great price. I do wish that the lip on the side of the case came up higher to protect the screen from surfaces but a screen protector will take care of that (which I was very surprised they didn't provide). I would recommend, just be sure to get a screen protector to put on the front screen, thankfully I had a few fresh ones around the house.
