Great Product - Tricky to Apply, November 20, 2008
I love this product. I never saw the point of buying a supersleek ipod/iphone and having to babysit it all the time or put a freakishly large case on it, just to protect your investment. That being said, the installation of this is not nearly as effortless as the online videos might have you believe.
First, both the instructions and the online video say to use "plenty" of the solution--spraying your fingers and the case. In my first installation attempt, I would say that I applied the solution liberally and I still got several bubbles. Simply put, bubbles indicate that you didn't use enough solution. You need to really moisten that sucker up, almost to the point of it being sopping for the greatest ease of installation. I was afraid of running out of solution until I noticed an insert in the package that said REGULAR WATER CAN BE USED IN PLACE OF THE "SOLUTION". It also mentioned that the magic "solution" was non-toxic and a non-irritant. I think it is likely just distilled H2O. I literally ran the sheets under my faucet and tried again. Ample solution(water) prevents the case's super sticky sheets from sticking (which causes bubbles). After this discovery, the front piece went on like a champ.
Secondly, you need to have some patience with the back application. On my first try, I was immediately able to get the entire back panel, including the corners to "stick". The problem was that as the case dried, bubbles appeared because the case was not dried enough on the back (around the apple logo) to not rise up when I wrapped the rest of the case around the phone using the palm technique described in the youtube video. What I found on the second try was that you really have to wet the case and apply ONLY the middle inch or so of the case to the phone (draw a vertical line down from the apple logo), use the card tool to remove the excess and wait for that dude to almost totally dry before doing the curves and edges for a completely bubble-less application.
It was not clear when I ordered, but each package contains 2 COMPLETE CASES (2 SETS OF FRONT AND BACK SHEETS), so if you screw up really bad, you get the chance for one free do-over before you have to worry about contacting their customer support.
It does take some patience to apply, but the end result will have your friends oogling over the sleekness of your protected iphone.

Excellent product, patience required, June 28, 2009
This product truly does give your iPhone armor plating. It has saved mine from scratches and other wounds many times.
As Amazonjunkie pointed out, applying the film--especially the back--is tricky. The video makes it look easy, but getting the cutouts to fit properly around the camera lens, volume switch, etc. can be challenging.
My advice is to go ahead and buy the product, then get another case to add some cushioning for the occasional fall. I've been very happy with the rubberized case that has a tire tread on the back (can't recall the name, sorry!). Between the two, I feel like my iPhone can survive just about anything except dropping it in water.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!, December 23, 2008
So I read the positive 4 star review, and ordered 1 set to try.
Front works quite easy. Still, it's too thick and cheap material.
Then the back. I am quite a handy person, but this didn't work at all.
Used all 2 sets for the back, sill doesn't work.
Spent $19 and got a cheap look on the front only.
I still need to find a back film. I will look for something else.
