After purchasing my iPhone 3G, I spent several hours searching high and low for a suitable iPhone skin that wasn't a ridiculously tacky-looking, bulky leather case. All that I've found that made me happy is this one.

The original silicone skin I bought was at the AT&T store (along with my iPhone) and they charged me $20 for a thin, crappy skin that was junk. I threw it out, and bought this instead. This skin is cheaper and better than anything else I've found. Perfect fit, looks very cool and unique. Everyone who sees it says, "wow, tire tracks! Cool!"

Here's my one complaint--the hole in the top for plugging in your auxiliary cable or headphones isn't big enough. It's just not cut wide enough. You can press your auxiliary cable in pretty hard, and it will fit, but it squashes the top of the skin in doing so. (No big deal, it just makes it look funny and eventually stretches it, making it looser). Just an annoyance at this point, but I wish they had made it wider.

Initially, it looked great, fit well, and gave a good feel to the phone. Thick enough to give a solid hand feel, but not huge. However, two months down the road, the black "paint" has worn off the corners, exposing the clear-jelly silicone material; but this doesn't bother me too much. The real problem is that it has stretched out, so it does not fit tightly any more. Now every time I put it in my pocket, the case twists/slips sideways and comes half off the phone. (Yes, I have done a thorough cleaning of the phone and the inside of the case, so this is not a problem of greasiness.) So, only two months and I need to replace it.

I expected something harder, this is pure rubber, too much flexible and sometimes come out very easily. It also makes hard to put your iPhone in and out pockets. But it's nice.

I picked this case because of the unique tire tread pattern. It has a pretty high cool factor, and way more interesting than the regular silicone sleeves. My only complaint is that the case is completely flush with the face of the iPhone. It makes for a very clean look, but offers no protection to the screen in case of a drop. If it extended just a tiny bit above the surface, it would protect the screen. Oh well, maybe in the redesign.
Also, if you're thinking this might fit your 1st generation iPhone, it won't.

The cover makes the fantastic phone look old and definitely you look the "coolness". It also causes scratches on the back of the phone. Do not recommend buying.

I like the slim, simple style of this case, and for a car guy, it's kind of fun to have tire tread on you at all times. It goes on and comes of easily (like every iPhone case, it has to be removed to dock the phone on pre-formed docks, like my stereo and car charger, but has access for charging with just the cable). When I ordered it, I also ordered a 3-pack of screen protectors, not realizing this comes with an excellent one that goes on so cleanly you can't even see it. I recommend this case 100%.

The jacket gathers a lot of dust and gets dirty very quick. The rubber makes it difficult to get the phone in and out of pockets. the grooves aren't as deep as the picture shows. It does fit the iPhone very well though.

The product does allow lots of dust to stick to it but it is rubber... I think all of these case would have this issue unless it is a hard rubber. The case does not add a lot of extra thickness to the phone and it is very easy to remove. I feel with the rubber casing, that in case of a drop that it should help with the shock from a drop but not if it goes screen first. There is about 1mm of rubber that is proud looking at the screen from the side. I believe that if the unit was to be drop screen first that it would simply come out of the rubber shell. It comes with a screen protector that is very clear and seems so far not to scratch too badly. I would buy again but don't think it adds as much protection as a case that surrounds the entire case. So I'm going the route of being very careful since I like cases like this one... I hate the extra thickness with cases that fully encloses the phone.

Comes with the rubber case, screen protector, card to squeeze out bubbles while installing the screen protector, and micro cleaning cloth.

Pros:

Its has a pretty good fit for the Iphone 3g.
Looks great.

Cons.
Attracts a lot of dust.
Hard to clean.

Just less than 3 months, the rubber/silicone material of the vroom case have decolorised.
The material is not entirely black, but actually dyed/sprayed black!
Really disappointed that Case-mate producing such low quality product.
Gives me doubts when buying another Case-mate.
