Editorial Reviews

From the Author

This is the first of 7 Marly Jackson Mysteries. I have always adored film noir, noir fiction, and mysteries. I've been fascinated with the femme fatale, often seen as "the lady in red." I began this project in an attempt to write a classic hard-boiled detective story- but from the viewpoint of the "the lady in red." I set this story in my beloved home of Chicago which is the perfect setting for a modern noir and all-to-often overlooked. Written over the course of 5 years this novel has come to mean so much to me. I can only hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

From the Back Cover

When a missing persons case crosses her desk, Marly Jackson P.I. is hot on the trail to a multi-million dollar reward. The Case Of the Missing Millionaire takes her deep into a world where sin sells for any price and every friend is foe. Evading mobsters, a killer, and the FBI, Marly teams with her ex-lover Finn, a retired police captain, a deviant heiress, and a former whore to find the truth in a sea of sex, lies, and betrayal. When passions run hot, Marly must keep her cool to win the ultimate prize...survival.

Format: Kindle Edition
Marly Jackson is a strong, intelligent woman who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go after it. I really enjoyed reading a book with such a strong female lead. "The Case of the Missing Millionaire" itself very much a page turner. Nora Quick has expertly worked multiple plot twists into her mystery, and the story will keep you guessing until its surprising end. This book is the first in a series, and I'm looking forward to reading the next installments and finding out more about these characters and ultimately how the story will end.

I have read all works by Ms Quick and have to say this book is enthralling! I cannot make a bad comment because it has none. The plot is flawless, there is not one dry part of her work. If you could compare it to food it is like a juicy steak! You just want more and more.
