When Bits claims she was almost eaten by a monster near the Sugar Creek, the gang goes investigating. They find plants that have been torn out of the ground but, before they learn anything, the police kick the kids out of the park at the request of a 'cranky lady.' As the Creekers try to learn what they can, Les finds himself babysitting his unruly cousin. Before the mystery is solved, the Sugar Creek Gang learns an important lesson on discipline and obedience to God and authority.

Pauline Hutchens Wilson is the daughter of Paul Hutchens, the author of the popular children's series The Sugar Creek Gang. She is mother of five children, a Bible Study leader, retreat speaker, and a singer and songwriter. Pauline and her husband, Dr. Kyle Wilson, live in Minnesota.
Sandy Dengler is a prolific fiction author with many titles to her credit. She has proven her versatility by writing in a number of different genres including biographies like Susanna Wesley: Servant of God published by Moody Press. Both she and her husband are avid outdoorsmen who make their home in Oklahoma. They have two grown daughters.
