I purchased a couple of these because my grandddaughters needed a pencil holder in their 3-ring binders. It was a case of overkill. The product is well-made and has a space for everything. But it is a little 'fat' in their 1" binders, even when empty. I recommend it for a 2" or 3" binder, where I suspect it would work far better. I am still giving it 4 stars, because it was my own misjudgment that put it in too-small binders.

This item would be okay to keep in a car for organization, but, not very practical for school purposes. Not enough space for storage and pencils barely fit into the pocket.

I purchased this product for my son who is a 7th grader in a private school. He is extremely pleased with this product because it has helped him to be organized at all times. He must keep his papers for months at a time in order to have them for final exams. He hasn't lost a paper yet. If you have a middle school student, you know how significant THAT is. Organization is the key to middle school success.

I bought this pencil pouch for my daughter, who is in 5th grade, to use in her binder this school year. It is NOT for holding all of the things a school-aged child needs in their pencil pouch...it is too small for that. It is good for holding several small things or a couple of pens and pencils along with a few small things.
