It seems that there has been an art heist of a valuable scarab at a Boston museum, and there is reason to believe that the thief may be on his way to this part of Vermont. The plot quickly thickens when a young hiker with amnesia collapses at their door with a fake scarab in his backpack. As the registered guests begin to arrive, all seem to have some connection to Boston or to Egyptology, and Nikki and Travis must put their sleuthing skills to work to solve a complicated and dangerous mystery. My daughter is an avid reader and she really enjoyed this book. In fact, she wrote the author to tell her she was anxious for her next book. It was very nice to find fiction that includes a family with two moms. I wish there were more books like this out there.
