My two older boys (8 & 6) and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. What a great premise for a story that celebrates the wisdom and problem solving skills of our children. I really liked the fact that it takes what would otherwise appear to be an ordinary family heirloom (grandfather's magnifying glass) & creates an adventure from it. In today's technology age this is a welcome retreat and allows our children to use their imaginations. I can't help but think that my children must be creating the history associated with the objects in our house - what a great thing!

My kids really related well to the heroes Jake and Alexa. They also found Rex the Cat to be hilarious. This book is entertaining, exciting and funny (with a little magic and family mixed in as well). We all really liked the ending of this book and are looking forward with great anticipation to many more Misadventures of Inpector Moustachio!

Both these book are excellent for young boys ages 8-13. I bought them for my grandson who turned 9 and I added a magnifying glass for him to "discover things". He and his 11 year old brother are delighted. These are a modern version on the style of the old Bobbsey Twin books. Adventures and fun without violence.

As a mother of three boys who are constantly battling me to read I at last found a book that we can enjoy as a family. It is a great book for all ages and interests. It is nice to be able to read with my family and laugh, question, and anticipate the next adventure. We are all looking for to the next adventure

my grandparents got me this book for my b-day and didn't except it to be so good. right when i started reading it i couldn't put it down. if you're thinking of giving someone that's a kid a book give them this book. trust me, if you give your child this book it will be in their faces 24/7, or maybe 24 hrs, because i finished in one day. this is the perfect book for ages 7-14. so buy it!

I am shocked at all the 5 star reviews for this book. It may be an entertaining story but, if the first 5 pages are representative, it is RIFE with grammar and spelling errors. Not what I'd expect from a RIF honoree.

I worked in the publishing industry for many years. I've seen many books come and go and, in my opinion, this is the NEXT Harry Potter! Adventurous, exciting and, definitely, worth reading.

Watch out Harry Potter here comes Inspector Moustachio!This is a delightful children's book. A great book to read before bedtime. Middle schoolers will also enjoy reading it in between classes.

I am a teacher, and I love this book! It's quickly paced, extremely readable, and that's so important for kids. The characters are funny and very real. Kids will love this book with its great storyline...This is a must-read for elementary school-aged kids!

I'm not a fan of this kind of a book but it was recommended to me by a good friend. I LOVED IT! Unique and quite, quite entertaining!
