This cable does exactly as promised. HDMI on one side and DVI-D on the other side. The ten feet is good if you have some space between your setups.
Some notes for buyers: 1. To get HDMI video on your monitor through DVI-D, your monitor must be HDCP compliant. 2. This connection only gives you digital video. You need to output sound through another means.

The cable was exactly as described. It came really fast considering I am deployed to Kuwait. Great item. I use it for connection between my projector and my laptop and PS3. Both provide accurate reporduction. I recommend this cable if you are looking for a cable at the right price. IT WORKS!

Contrary to what many people think (and to what many salespeople will tell you), the quality of construction of an HDMI or DVI-D cable has zero effect on picture quality or audio quality. Unlike older cable standards, HDMI and DVI-D are digital, not analog, so it either works or it doesn't. There's no such thing as a better signal. So the cable just has to be "good enough". Spending more for a "better" HDMI or DVI-D cable is throwing away money. This cable worked without any issues, so that puts it on the "good enough" side, meaning there's no reason to buy anything more expensive.
Another common misconception is about DVI-D and audio. DVI-D cables DO support audio, but many DVI-D devices do not. I have several DVI-D devices and only a couple of them support audio over DVI-D. If the device does support DVI-D audio, it will work fine with any DVI-D to HDMI cable.

I've worked in retail for too many years. To not name names I have worked for a major electronics store that has now gone the way of the dinosaur, and also their main (still surviving) competitor.
In every place the fact is the same. Almost no money is made on the electronic device itself, be it the PC, TV, iPod, etc. All of the money gained is from the accessories, namely the cables (not to mention their "extended warranties").
Of coarse you want the cables when you buy your new device, they know this so they sell them at the highest price they can.
This cable, as well as the other "bargain" cables I've purchased online have all worked just as well as those other "high end/name brand" cables.
And just to touch on some of the other reviews. If it isn't working right you're either doing it wrong or you happened to get the less than 1 percent defect. So either research your issue or ask for a replacement.
A top notch 5 out of 5.

Well i give this 5/5 because after using it for a week, So far no complaints. I connected my Computer to 42' Samsung TV. Mainly for gaming, and looks crystal clear. No problems with connecting, clear image, good MS response.
15FT of cable is pretty good for me being that my TV is about 8-10 feet away. I'd recommend this to anyone wanting to see their Computer on a nice big TV. Also word of Advice make sure you measure how far away the 2 components are away from each other.

Arrived quickly and in good condition, however the construction material was a bit on the lesser expensive side (which is justified by the extremely low price). THe only issue is that the cable sheathing tends to tear and slice if wired around hard corners or cut holes.
