Purchased the black smoke case and as usual, amazon prime delivers without a hitch.

In terms of the case, it was well package and came in a paper sleeve with an outer plastic bag to protect the case.

Pros:

* the 6-point fasteners for the Kindle Fire does a marvelous job of holding the Kindle Fire in place without leaving marks
* looks pretty and NOT cheap at all (product pictures does a great job of showing what it looks like in your hands)
* nice stitching
* very form fitting (i.e. doesn't look too bulky)
* price! Cost a fraction (just above $10 at the time of this review) of other cases I have seen.
* almost no smell that some other reviews reported, and the little smell that was there dissipated within a day if that.

Cons:

* I noticed that one of the sides started showing signs of wear, i.e. the pleathery material is coming off on one of the edges. The black is coming off and the grey is showing underneath. I'm pretty careful with my stuff, so this is surprising after only two weeks of very light use.
* case doesn't protect the sides much
* case material seems to absorb a lot of oils from your hand and it shows!
* the logo is kind of unsightly
* standing the Kindle Fire requires removal of the fastener, which sits very tight. Although it hasn't yet, I constantly feel like it is going to wear out (and show marks) on the corner of the Kindle Fire.

I'm deducting one star due to the quality (and to a lesser degree the design) as everything else is pretty much as pictured. Great value, but questionable quality.

Huge fan of this Kindle Fire case. The cover folds flat against the back side of the Kindle and can be held in place with the elastic band for easy reading. I love that the tabs that hold it in place protect the corners and don't obscure any of the buttons. The ridges in the cover are great for making a stand for easy viewing of videos. The green is a light lime green/chartreuse, making it easy to find in my bag, which is inevitably chock full of other stuff. I would highly recommend this cover.

I had 30-something cases on my wishlist for my Kindle fire, and I'm so glad I went with this one! It's a study case that makes holding my fire much more comfortable.

I like that there are two positions for landscape viewing, and it's easy to pop the bottom corners of the Fire out of the case to utilize the stand. The Fire snap into the case easily, and the case has a secure grip without getting in the way of the screen.

I thought I'd be annoyed by the elastic strap, but it works great when you need it, and doesn't get in the way when you don't.

I purchased this case when I bought my Fire. For the first several weeks this case seems to be fine and put together solidly. I like the bold color but don't like that I cannot use on the built-in stand in portrait (vertically up & down lengthwise). I knew this wouldn't be a feature of the case, and I do not fault the manufacturer for that, but many program use only that format and there are times i'd like to have it standing on a table, etc.

Still, I have been generally quite happy with the quality and construction until today when I noticed the stitching had pulled out on one end of the strap. I handle this product with "kid gloves" and treat it extremely gently, as I do all of my electronics. The stitching appears to be a weak point. I questioned this the first time I pulled it out, but after using for almost a month forgot all about it.

So i'll give this 3 stars as the long-term durability is questionable. I have requested and received an RMA to ship this back for a refund.

I bought this case in January 2012 to go with my Kindle Fire. I can't say anything bad about it, I really love it. Not sure about the guy giving it a bad review, the color is 100% accurate to the picture shown, it's lightweight and I love how it converts into a stand without any effort. I take my Kindle with me everywhere and the case still looks good as new, doesn't get dirty and hasn't shown any signs of wear and tear. The outside is soft and doesn't feel creepy like some other cases I have had. I'd recommend this case to anyone with a Kindle Fire without hesitation!

I bought this to go with my FABULOUS FIRE! It fits snug on the device - a little too snug - I struggle getting the device in and out - I like to use different cases depending on my plans for the day - It does hold up the device on its own as the pictures show and it is nice quality. I would probably purchase it again and recommend it to a friend. The speakers get muffled by the case but makes little difference in the sound. The plug and on/off button are easily accessible. Overall worth the cost for protecting the device and looking pretty! The Red is red not burgundy or orange looking like some red covers. It is pretty vibrant but not scary bright!
